DrChrono’s iPad and iPhone compatible EHR and medical billing platform allows users to manage patient intake, clinical charting, billing, and revenue cycle management. It includes customizable medical forms, e-prescribing, scheduling tools, real-time patient eligibility checks, and a patient portal. The DrChrono App Directory also offers a multitude of apps and a medical API for healthcare app developers. The DrChrono EHR offers fully customizable forms or prebuilt forms. Any prescription, including Electronic Prescribing Controlled Substances, can be sent electronically on iPhone, iPad, or the Internet. Lab orders can be submitted electronically to over 40,000 labs around the United States; results can then be directly uploaded into the patient’s chart. Custom vitals give providers the ability to create baseline health data and monitor each patient’s health measurements over time.Providers can use Free Draw function to annotate on diagrams, x-rays or other files; they can also use the iPad's built-in cameras to take pictures and embed them in the patient's record. The system comes pre-populated with billing codes and is integrated with Box, a HIPAA-compliant cloud storage system.

DrChrono has some room for growth...
DrChrono has some room for growth in certain areas, but over all this software is saving me a tremendous amount of time.

Best option with a very reasonable price
I am a physical therapist and I love how customizable the documentation platform is. DrChrono also has great scheduling and a patient portal platform that allows for easy scheduling by the provider and the patient. My only "complaint" is that I do not need to use much of the powerful capabilities that DrChrono has to offer and therefore it has some very minor "clutter/extra options" that I am unable to remove and just have to scroll past or see on my screen. These do not in any way impair the performance of the amazing platform DrChrono has to offer!

Great EMR/EHR if you are looking for an…
Great EMR/EHR if you are looking for an open API platform. If you need or want a platform customized to your platform, DrChrono may need some customization. Their support is great if you pay for the full and highest level of the app, the lower levels require tickets so their is a delay in response. Overall we have been very pleased with the app, EHR, billing, coding, support and use of the app.

Easy to use, customizable system
DrChrono has allowed me to put in customized templates which say just what I need it to. Push button input on the iPad is very convenient allowing for quick charting. Billing sections could use some streamlining and improvement from my point of view. I've seen other systems in action, and DrChrono has been the quickest and most thorough way to chart.

Dr Chrono is great
We love Dr Chrono, easy to use, very user friendly, updating all the time. Great if you're good with technology and social media. They do need a customer service number and/or department, but otherwise no complaints!

Comprehensive EHR
There are numerous pros for using this program! The first and foremost being that it is very easy to use. Additionally, it has the best iPad functionality (compared to other EHRs) and excellent customer support (I get responses to my support tickets within 24 hours). In the beginning, we invested the time to customize templates to our workflow which results in very fast and precise documentation. I would highly recommend drchrono to anyone!
