Opinion of Drake Software
I was original with UltraTax. This year I decided to move over to Drake. Initially, the program looked good, and we did not have any issues with easy returns. Drake’s technical support is one of the best we experienced. The conversion process for the more difficult return’s, meaning with carryovers, was horrible. I spent more time on these types of returns than I could bill. Moving on to the business returns, they have been an absolute nightmare. Time-wise, if I stayed with UltraTax, for the price, I would have come out further on billing. I would not recommend the product for complicated returns nor business returns unless you have time on your hands.
