I was very excited for this trip but sadly very disappointed. The whole trip was very unorganized and the host was not very helpful and I didn’t see much representation from DOTC. The group was wayy too large for this trip and several stops were missed even when we were on time. Our local guide Ali was amazing and very helpful and knowledgeable and I think him being there really made the experience better. Most meals were not covered and breakfast was mostly covered by the hotels we were staying at. We stayed mostly at hotels but the itinerary clearly stated riads. I didn’t realize how much more I would be spending on food and tips. A lot of the stops we made were at touristy places and the food was not good and overpriced. Although the trip was very disappointing I will say I did make new friends and memories but that still doesn’t overshadow the amount of money I spent on this trip. I really had high hopes because I was looking forward to more DOTC trips but after the amount of money and time I’ve spent I don’t think it that will happen unless I see improvements.

I wanted to share some honest feedback about the recent Morocco trip because I really believe in what DOTC is doing and want to see it thrive. I’ve traveled with them before and had such an amazing time that I decided to book another trip. Unfortunately, this experience just didn’t live up to the first one, and I left feeling disappointed. From day one through the farewell dinner, things felt a bit unorganized and communication was lacking. The itinerary was packed so tightly that there was very little free time to actually enjoy the beautiful places we were visiting. Several experiences and stops were cancelled without much notice, explanation, or any kind of refund, which was frustrating. On top of that, there was very little DOTC representation throughout the trip. The trip was also promoted as a luxurious experience, but it didn’t quite match that expectation. Riad stays were a big part of the draw for me, yet they only happened a couple of times. Some of the meal stops during transfers felt more like tourist traps, and I wasn’t aware of the tipping culture or the extra costs I’d need to plan for ahead of time. As someone who travels often and is a smart traveler, I was still hoping for a little more guidance from DOTC to help make the trip smoother. That said, there were still moments I truly enjoyed—our guide Ali was wonderful, and Morocco itself is absolutely stunning. But with the group being so large, the schedule so full, and the DOTC team not as present as expected, the trip felt rushed and at times unsupported. Often, we barely had time to take in the sights before we were moving on to the next stop. I think this trip has so much potential, and with changes—like shortened itinerary, limiting the group size, and ensuring more consistent DOTC presence—it could be incredible. I love the vision behind DOTC and would like to continue supporting future trips, but after this experience, it will be hard for me to book again unless I see some improvements.

This was singlehandedly one of the most disappointing trips of my life. I would like to emphasize that I wholeheartedly believe in the mission of the DOTC and want it to succeed. I had been looking forward to this trip for literally months. However, this trip was nothing like it was advertised. I understand that they use a third party (TourHero) to plan the trip, but it is hard not to blame DOTC for not verifying the itinerary and accommodations since they are the ones selling this experience to us. Some of the positives of the trip were: - The Riad in Marrakesh and the hotel in Chefchaouen - Camels and ATV rides in the Sahara Desert - The local tour guide was phenomenal. He was very helpful, knowledgeable, and a good vibe. - The girls I met on the trip Below are the negatives: - The hotel in Rabat was nothing like the Riad that was promised - The hotel is Fes had a nice lobby and pool, but that is about it. My room was very poorly lit, had no view, and the bathtub would not drain. Most of the girls had issues with their rooms. Again, they put us in a hotel when a Riad was promised. Considering how expensive this trip was, they really dropped the ball with the accomodations. - The trip clearly had more people than they could handle. They had to put us in hotels instead of Riads bc Riads cannot accommodate 27 people. This trip might have been better if it was 15 people. The planners did not take into account how long it takes to coordinate 27 people. - The trip tried to cover too many cities, which lead to spending 4 days on the bus. Because of this, we could not fully explore any of the locations. - Even through the itinerary had "free time" listed, we were often behind schedule, and therefore had no time to independently explore - Most meals were not covered, but we were forced to eat in expensive touristy restaurants with mediocre food. - There was a host that was supposed to represent DOTC, but it is unclear what her job was. I am happy she enjoyed her trip, but a lot of the other girls (including me) needed to take charge and coordinate logistics, which defeated the whole purpose of paying DOTC. Overall, it’s unfortunate, because Morocco is a beautiful country and had the potential to be a great experience. With better planning and leadership, this could have been a much better trip. TLDR: the guide and girls were great, but the trip itself was poorly organized, and therefore, was not worth the money or the time.

The trip overall was so very disappointing. This was my second DOTC trip and first longer trip (CDMX in March was 2.5 days). The first trip could have been better but the amazing people I met helped distract from some of the issues. This trip however was unfortunately so different. From the get go it was clear that it had been overbooked (27 women total). DOTC’s role was nonexistent - multiple guests who paid to be there had to step in and communicate with the local guide (who was amazing) and help coordinate and gather the group. The itinerary was misleading and completely unrealistic. There were few enjoyable experiences where the constant issues did not overshadow them. The hotels were clearly not validated by DOTC as most of them were disappointing or misleading (supposed to be in riads most of the time but they overbooked so we had to stay in hotels that were not at all similar). Overall, for the amount of money I spent on this the trip was disappointing yes there were few good moments and good people (some of the other guests and the local guides) but a trip like this for the price point shouldn’t be overshadowed with multiple daily issues, poor planning and communication.

This was my second trip with Dotc. I thought I could get the same experience as first. Peru was great. This trip was nothing but dissatisfying. This Morocco trip could have been planned well. Felt like wasted my money. Host was not up to well informed, she was in her own vacay with us. Itinerary was not fully covered missed few stops, changed one hotel at the last minute which was messy with clogged bathtubs (every girl has a story about this hotel) I personally feel that the food stops during the trip could have been improved. Rather than dining primarily catering to tourists, we would have greatly appreciated more opportunities to experience authentic Moroccan cuisine, which we found truly memorable. Our guide Ali was great whom we could really on, taking care of us and making sure we are safe all the time. One challenge was that some conversations occasionally turned toward political subjects, such as India’s international relations. This was somewhat unsettling during the trip. I believe that, particularly on a South Asian group tour, it would be more pleasant and respectful to keep discussions centered on the travel experience and avoid sensitive geopolitical debates.

I just got back from my first Dose of Travel trip to Barbados for Crop Over. Let me tell you, it was the best group trip I have ever been on!! I travel solo and I have traveled with other companies before, but this was so much fun! Nabila did such a great job keeping us updated on everything, and always making sure we were having a good time. She also took great pictures of us lol It was truly like going on a trip with friends, except I had never met any of these girls before. I highly recommend dose of travel. Do yourself a favor, and book that trip asap because I am about to book the next one!

I’ve done 2 trips with Dose of Travel Club. Clearly I really enjoy them! Morocco was my first and it was filled with a ton of culture and sightseeing which was a great time. But let’s talk about Barbados! This was the trip of a lifetime! I would have never experienced carnival if it wasn’t for Nabila and Dose of Travel Club. I partied like I’ve probably never partied before in my life! The confidence I left with after that trip is incredible. Nabila along with the other girls were just so uplifting and girl's girls. I am so grateful.

Went to Barbados for Crop Over with DOTC and loved every minute of it! We got to experience an important cultural celebration with the Barbados tourism board, where hosts on the ground handled every detail for us, including fetes (events), transport, all inclusive food/drinks, sunset catamaran, makeup sponsored by fenty, costume pick up (and they even helped us put them on)! The media group we spent the week with was also amazing and we met so many incredible people who helped us immerse in the culture even more. We didn’t sleep much because the schedule was jam packed but that’s exactly how I like my vacations :) DOTC curated such a special trip where we joined Nabila and other creators on a media trip but also got to experience Crop Over the right way, thanks to the help of Visit Barbados and BTMI. The entire week of fetes, costumes and Crop Over festival represented emancipation and breaking away from the norm, exactly what DOTC strives to do by celebrating travel and independence in the South Asian world :)
