information to improve associate manual of retail operations
ON FEB 4 2203 I entered your store #1579 wintergarden florida U.S.A.. I had chance to pick up the last green basket at the door. It was filthy and had a broken handle. The store was packed with people shopping. I quickly found the items I required and made my way to the payment lines. There were three registers open. I chose the shortest line. When I reached the cashier she informed me that this line was for card members only. She had neglected to post a sign informing of that purpose. I informed her that I had wasted much on the line and that there was no sign posted and asked to speak with management. She informed me that she was the manager. Her name tag said her name was Maria. I made my way to the adjacent line and waited to pay and make my egress. When I made my way to the final customer to be processed before myself Maria appeared at that register and said that the customer preceding me was the last person before the line was to be closed. I informed Maria again that the information of the line closure was not posted, then told her that I would be contacting the corporate office if she detained me further. She insisted that I had to move to the final line that was at this point very very long. I made my way to the end of that line and waited the half hour or better before I could leave the store. I am sorry but your management at this store requires some work. Next week I will attend another dollar tree store. This will require another stop and in my eyes a waste of my valuable time. I would make some suggestions but whatever they be they would be ignored. Maria obviously believed that it was best for me to be detained just to prove she retained all of the power, after all she was the manager. My obligation to Maria is now complete. I have contacted the Dollar tree to post a complaint. Maybe something will come of it.
