I signed up for a $1 trial and got no email acknowledging my subscription. I was certain it was for a year and put a reminder in my phone to cancel if so wasn’t using it. Two weeks later I suddenly have a $99 charge for a premium one year subscription. I immediately canceled and asked for a refund, but they absolutely refuse. This is scammy and predatory. Do not sign up with them. Also I got very few “deal” emails so the service doesn’t even seem worth it. Just do a google flight alert.

Here I am, creating an account in Trustpilot explicitly so I can hit these guys with one star. Scammy practices by setting you up with a really pricy subscription that they “can’t refund” even though I haven’t used the service. Beware, bad practices. Red flag.

I purchased a 'lifetime' membership of their Concierge service in April 2024 ($199) and submitted an itinerary request which is part of what I was told I'd receive each year (one fully planned itinerary each year). Low and behold, this month I get an email from them they are discontinuing the service and I should join another service, called Lalya for 6 months of premium service and a 50% discount off the annual fee for life (there's that 'life' word again, but it's not lifetime, just each year I'd have to pay again for the benefit). I've already paid out $199 for NOTHING and when I requested a refund, or at least the darn itinerary I was told "Our lifetime service is guaranteed so long as we offer the service, unfortunately due to business demands we aren't able to accommodate the service any longer. We are unable to process refunds for the service. However, we are committed to ensuring that you make the most out of your new benefits with Layla.ai." I certainly won't be joining ANY service DFC recommends because they cannot even take care of their current customers. Shame on them!

I used a referral or maybe an advertisement from a news type email to get a trial for $1. Apparently the term was only 2 weeks. The trial just ended, I was charged $99 for one year, and I requested a refund. They refused and claimed that they send a welcome email at sign up. That did not happen. And there was no communication that I was about to end the trial and be charged. I advise not to enter a trial with DFC. Now a week after their reply inviting me to email the support team, and I wrote on 9/19, I have no response from them. I don’t feel appreciated as a customer

I had a membership prior to the pandemic. When my European tour was cancelled I tried unsuccessfully to cancel my flight booked through Dollar Flight Club. When the refused a refund I cancelled my membership. Now 4 years latter they have tried multiple times to fraudulently bill me for membership. I have now had to cancel two credit cards due to this company.

All the good reviews are fake, create by Bots. Please don’t trust DFC

Same experience on the renewal. I noticed the renew fee hit my bank account and asked them to cancel and refund the membership. They refused to offer a refund. You can get so many emails from them that aren’t good deals you start to send them all to the trash. Their website says cancel anytime and says to try to do it before the renewal. It is not upfront about not refunding your money.

In response to the comment below from DFC: DFC said they sent me a renewal notice, but they failed to provide me with proof that they did. They gave me a screenshot showing "confirmation renewal notice sent" but nothing to show that it went to my email directly. When I kept pressing for it, they remained deliberately elusive about it and sidestepped the request by asking if I wanted a lifetime membership. Without proof that the notice was sent directly to my account and because of their evasion, this behavior is indicative of a scam. I will again double down on my request to have them submit to me proof that notice went directly to my inbox and not simply a screenshot that does not show account information. Do not trust DFC. I've had the same experience with their automatic renewal. I never received a renewal. I submitted screenshots of my Inbox, Spam, and Trash folders showing all the emails I had received from DFC during the time they were supposed to have notified me. A renewal notice was not part of this. They failed to provide any proof on their end that they sent me a renewal notice. For a brand this large, you should have better practices in place if you aren't going to offer a refund. This should include several notices, not just one. Plus I still don't see proof that these are actually sent based on the amount of people who have complained about it.
