This was supposed to be ninety dollars a year. They charged me one hundred forty dollars in September. I contacted them and assumed it was fixed. Today they charged me another one hundred forty dollars. It is November. Two charges in two months for a subscription I cancelled.
Now I am traveling internationally and it is almost impossible to call my credit card provider to dispute the charge. Dollar Flight Club has ignored my cancellation and taken money I did not authorize. The service itself did not offer anything I could not find through a simple Google search or with ChatGPT. No real value. No real deals. Just recycled information.
This feels like a company that counts on people not fighting back. Please do not give them your credit card information. I regret trusting them with mine.

Hi Natalie,
So sorry for the troubled experience.
We're a U.S. company and our services range from $69 to $99/annually. The only way it would of been more than that is if you're in a different country which then has a currency exchange which would explain the different amount here.
I apologize for the frustration and will pass this feedback to our team.

After subscribing
After subscribing, I attempted to use the service a few times. Prices were not better than I could do for myself. I thought that I had cancelled, but apparently, I did not because they charged me $99 for a renewal year and would not give me a refund, but would only cancel me at the end of another year. Not worth your time, effort or money.

Dollar Flight Club Subscription
I see that Dollar Flight Club is advertising a Black Friday Sale. I tried Dollar Flight Club! They had a post for a LAX to Havana flight on Viva Airlines. The flight connects in Monterrey, Mexico with a 19-hour layover so the total time is 24.5 hours. Coming back from Cuba, the connection time is "just" 14 hours (and there is this little issue for US Citizens that travel is banned to Cuba.) Another was for LAX to Buenos Aires on Avianca. I figured that you would connect in Bogota. The outbound flight duration is 20:45. A little long, but acceptable. Here is the itinerary of the trip to EZE: Los Angeles to San Salvador to Panama City to Medellin to Buenos Aires. The return trip takes you from Buenos Aires to Guayaquil (I always wanted to visit there) to San Jose to San Salvador to Los Angeles. Any chance of missing a connection? It might be easier to take a bus. They once had a flight from LAX to Athens, Greece on my favorite airline, Spirit. There’s more of a chance that Spirit flies to Athens (Georgia). I wonder how far the range of their A321 is? Could it make it over the Atlantic? Another trip deal was flying from LAX to Tijuana. These two cities are 144 miles apart, connected by Interstate 5. Instead of driving two hours, flying would take a minimum of nine hours. I was a total pain, sending them emails about these "great" deals. I got so annoying that they canceled my subscription.

They are all about the money
They are all about the money. I participated in a free 90 day trial after the first 30 days saw very little value in the program they do offer some great savings just not to any destinations that I was looking forand canceled through the website. 60 days later I was charged, I went back to the website to check and it showed I was still a member. I reached out to customer service explained that I had already canceled and I didn’t understand why I was charged. They said they never saw a cancellation and that due to their policy that they would not issue a refund. Never used the service and will be sure to never recommend it to anyone after my chat with customer service.

Don’t do it
I signed up for a $1 trial. Their website showed a renewal date of 11/3/25 but they charged me $99 on10/3/25 and there’s no refund.

There is a reason for so many complaints and 1 Star Reviews.
***Update - the pending refund reappeared and is a pending deduction from the balance. ***
****Update - the pending refund disappeared and contacted the credit card company. The credit card said to wait for 5 days and will update then***
****Update
I sent an email to customer service and actually heard back within the hour of sending it. A refund for the $99 was credited back to my credit card.****
Dollar Flight Club did not send out any renewal emails and I was charged $99.00 after the $1.00 trial. At the first attempt of two $.50 charge notifications, I immediately canceled and another attempt was made. So it is actually $100 I was charged. Amended to $99 as I checked this morning.
I never used them as the deals you could get from your own searches, AARP, Hopper, etc.
Per reviews and my own experience, I would not recommend this company because they state you cannot contest this and reviews speak for themselves. Honest companies would amend this and offer refunds and ask for feedback on how to improve. Obviously, they don’t and haven’t. Search Reddit + Dollar Flight Club, BBB, etc and you will see. JenOnAJetPlane has a blog post with a review along with an update from others who have been unhappy with DFC's practices along with numerous comments to the post.
For example, I signed up for trial subscriptions for books, Going (Premium), etc and ALL sent several notices yet DFC cannot especially after being called out so many times.
Speaking of Going, you can actually read that folks debated on whether to keep it due to their personal situation (time enough to travel, etc vs NOT due to sketchy practices). In fact, on Reddit, you can actually see Scott reaching out on Reddit on an older post to explain an issue. I have cancelled for Going Premium as it would actually cost more to fly into airports with deals vs just flying directly from my home airport. This may change next year when I fly more.
I do not like giving out bad reviews and you can check yourself on here that I rarely give less than a 5. This was a less than 1 star for not listening to previous feedback and making changes. No company is perfect yet it is still is a definitive NO for me.
Lesson learned to read reviews on here and BBB first.

Hi Nikki,
Thank you so much for the feedback as we do value all feedback positive and negative. We're sorry you had a negative experience with our service. We do send out renewal emails in advance of charges so that people have ample notice and time to adjust their membership as needed.
I'd reach out to your bank regarding the refund as if we refunded your account we would not recharge you. It may take 5-10 business days to completely show up on your account.

Would not recommend,
Cancelled after doing a promotion as I did not find benefit in the service and was still charged $160 2 months later which I have now had to dispute with the bank.

I signed up to one of their specials…
I signed up to one of their specials thinking it would be a good way to trial it out.
As soon as I was able to gain access, I cancelled almost immediately as a lot of their advertised "promotional" flights weren't accurate at all.
For example, they'd have a flight from Sydney to Tokyo for $500 return but as soon as I click on the link, it just shows me the flight for the full price of $1500.
And that didn't happen just once for one flight either, no.
This happened a couple of times over the course of a few months. EVERY time I checked, their "specials" didn't add up at all.
So from my experience, the deals are false mis advertisements which is highly unethical.
What's more is that they make it close to impossible to cancel!
I've requested my subscription to be cancelled at least THREE times, and they've still charged me $160ish dollars for their site that doesn't even work.
This is starting to smell like a scam to me.
