Beware of this company
Beware of this company, and it's condescending "executive", CEO & Co-Founder. I had concerns in the beginning that this would not be the best course for my dog, however, the sales woman, assured me over and over this is what Timber needed. She was very convincing., Nervous, I sent my dog to train with her chosen trainer, from Thanksgiving to Christmas. I did the handover on Christmas Eve, one day short of the contracted stay, but it was Christmas. I even had 2 follow ups with their chosen trainer in my home. Mind you, even while watching the what's ap videos, I expressed concern that the issues I sent him for were not being addressed. But they graduated my dog, and sent him home. And emails sent would come back with lets do another session. And when I expressed feeing abandoned, the "executive" mentioned above, emailed me with the most condescending tone, stating he discussed me with the trainer and have decided it is my fault. And that I waited a long time to complain and that my concerns were only about money not my dog. Here is his words: I just wanted to jump in here and assure you that nobody is ignoring you in any way. Our rep is away on maternity leave also so I've stepped in to follow up with you personally! While I do appreciate your desire to resolve the issues that you seem to be having with Timber, we had asked trainer for his feedback after the second follow-up session in April and he had concerns with consistency & maintenance of what was achieved initially and then what was demonstrated upon those follow-up lessons. I understand that you do have a full house with other pups and cats present and it can be challenging to maintain consistency and focus on one dog's upskilling especially when there are so many triggers in any environment, it is a common issue that we try to address and want owners to realize that their environment is where a lot of the work needs to be done after the fact. Regarding your request for a refund, I must decline as there are no grounds in terms of what work was completed and what has been achieved. Timber's initial program took place almost 7 months ago. Seeking compensation at this point has no benefit to Timber's progress and to be honest, it comes across as rather distasteful to seek financial compensation versus actually wanting to address Timber's perceived issues. If we were asking the question of possibly doing another lesson or two with trainer to refresh, that could be on the table for discussion. For the record during the 6 months my dog came back to me, I was in constant contact, I did not wait 6 months to only contact for a refund. If there was enough room, I would include all of the condescending emails, but for the record, what could be on the table for discussion never happened. My dog is more aggressive and uncontrollable than before he went to Dog Wise academy. You have been warned. Don't do it.
