I'm having a wonderful experience with Dogwise Academy. My pet, Rocky returned home like a little gentleman. He continues to need consistency and that's where I come it. The tools provided by our trainer, Njoud are exceptionally valuable. The best part of this program is the follow-up. I'm able to reach out to my trainer to ensure I'm conducting myself appropriately and making this "lifetime" commitment enjoyable for both myself and my pet.
Thank you Dogwise Academy and a very special thanks to our wonderful trainer, Njoud.

My Puppy Was Failed
I have gone back and forth about leaving this review but after seeing the other recent similar reviews I feel it is my responsibility to say something so other's can have all the information before agreeing to training with this company. I want to firstly discuss the unreliability of the trainer. I understand emergencies/weather/etc. happen however our pick up, drop off, and after training session were rescheduled all together over 7 times. My dog was dropped back off to us after 9PM at night so the after training handover session could not occur as it was dark and I have a small child. The trainer told me for the next FIVE days he was "on his way" to our location and yet hours later would text stating he was still hours away and would reschedule last minute. I had to change my job hours around and pay for daycare for the five days the trainer was supposed to come back to show us what my dog learned for him to just not show up. Clearly he had better plans to attend then our handover session. I would also like to say that we did not receive daily updates and when he did receive updates, it was the same material in the video; our dog on a leash walking. I think all together we received 3-4 videos in a three week span. When the trainer finally did show back up for our handover session(hours late), he stayed in my driveway for less than 15 minutes, told me to get my puppy a shock collar, and left. I cannot tell you ONE thing my dog learned while he was in his training seminar. I was told NOTHING about his training and how to continue it. I made sure before I scheduled and paid for the training that they would be able to deal with my dog's specific issues, which was being too rough with my cats/chickens and I was ASSURED this would be addressed. I never received proof this was addressed during the 3 weeks. I never received after training instructions to address this issue. Within one day of being home, my puppy injured my cat. This program failed my dog/my family and now we are reaping the consequences as I cannot allow this behavior to continue for the safety of all people/animals in my house. My 9 month old puppy was a gentle giant. He would never go after any of my other dogs or INTENTIONALLY hurt any animals in my home but within a week of him being home he initiated a fight with my other dogs and did some damage. He was the most submissive dog and would fall to the floor if they even so much as growled at him. Now he is picking fights and he is a Great Dane so its not easy to break these issues up. The trainer himself told me the dogs he owns are aggressive and ironically enough now my 9 month old puppy is picking fights. He also NEVER barked. Someone could knock on my door and he wouldn't even make a peep. Now ALL he does is bark ALL DAY and as someone who works from home, this is not ideal. Another issue Dogwise didn't seem to care about is my dog came home with EIGHT wounds. He was seen by a vet who stated these look like wounds from long periods of time in a crate rubbing his limbs/scratching that were licked constantly to create hotspots. My vet has informed me due to the level of damage that these wounds will scar permanently. Dogwise sent me an aftercare package to give insight on continuing training in my home and I am almost positive it is the SAME information they send to all dogs. There was no personal information on my dogs case, his trainer, the best way to handle him, etc. They gave me a copy and paste template that I could have found on the internet. After reaching out, all they did was offer me three free training sessions with the same trainer. As I explained to them I am HIGHLY uncomfortable continuing with this trainer, they offered nothing else. I assume they will copy and paste the exact same reply they sent the other bad reviews and that just proves to me more that they show no personalization/care for each individual case as being its own dog. I did not leave this review to gain a reply from this company, I did not leave it to gain anything. I left it for others and their dogs.
UPDATE : to clear up the reply from the company. The reason you think there was “less reschedules” then their actual were is due to the fact that the trainer was texting me NOT on the whatsapp. The handover session was reschuduled over 5 times to which I have texts to prove. The handover session was NOT cut short due to me having to go somewhere. Your trainer texted me hours late and said he would have plenty of time to address the hand over session before I had to leave and STILL left my house well before I needed to head out and told me not one thing that happened to my dog. He was supposed to be AT MY HOUSE AT 10AM and showed up right before 11:30 when I had to leave. My dog had TWO healed hotspots on his feet. TWO. and came back with SEVEN OPENED BLEEDING WOUNDS up and down his legs. How are you going to lie about this ??!

Hello Allie,
We appreciate your feedback and wish to address your concerns with clarity and transparency.
Regarding the reliability of the trainer, we understand your frustration with the rescheduling. However, it's important to note that the actual number of rescheduled sessions was significantly lower than indicated, primarily due to weather conditions that posed risks to both our trainers and your pet's safety.
As for the late drop-off, we regret any inconvenience caused. The delay was primarily due to further weather conditions, which made it unsafe to conduct the handover session thoroughly in the dark. Safety is our top priority, and we always strive to ensure the well-being of both our clients and their pets.
We apologize if the 15-minute "handover session" felt rushed. Our intention was to provide comprehensive information and support, but it was in fact your indication that you had to end the session early that day as you had places to be.
Regarding the suggestion of a vibration collar, it's important to clarify that it was proposed as a tool to address specific behavioral issues discussed during consultations, such as aggression towards other animals.
Our training program was tailored to tackle the behavioral concerns you raised. In fact, our trainers focused on proofing reactivity in public settings and improving your pet's recall skills, which are foundational for addressing aggression and reactivity towards other animals.
Regarding the wounds your pet incurred, they were pre-existing conditions documented by you prior to training. Throughout the training period, our trainers provided diligent care and treatment for these wounds, as requested by you with ointments that you provided. We understand your concern and offered further support options, including additional sessions with a different trainer, to address any ongoing issues.
We also understand that you expressed uncertainty about keeping the dog, as he was a foster. We respect your decision and are here to provide support and assistance, regardless of the outcome.
Our aftercare reports are tailored to each pet's individual needs and training progress. Each report undergoes a review to ensure accuracy and alignment with our values in pet care.
In conclusion, we encourage you to revisit the facts of the situation, and we do hope that you and Jorah can continue the training journey that you've started.
Best,
Dogwise Academy

Our dog has aggressive behavior…
Our dog has aggressive behavior problems that is the one reason he was sent to dogwise. The day he came home he showed worse behavior than before he left.
I will say he walke better on the leash as long he doesn’t engage people or dogs.
And he’s stay (place command) is great.
WE ARE CURRENTLY WORKING ON THE PROBLEM WITH DOGWISE. DOING BETTER..

I would like to thank Njoud for the support and love for working with my dog
I would like to thank Njoud for the three weeks she spent with my dog Teri. I am late writing this review my apology. Njoud and her family gave Teri so much love and care during the three weeks. Njoud helped Teri get on the right track, with house manners, walking her has improved. Njoud came out for a follow up, Teri went nuts so happy to see her and after giving Njoud some love she went right in following her commands. On our walk Njoud got to see Teri walking and gave me some more training that I needed. Thank you Njoud

Molly’s Great Adventure
Elijah is amazing! He performed miracles with our Golden Doodle, Molly. I was very nervous to send her away to be trained, but it was the best decision I could have made. Molly was a Covid dog. She suffered from separation anxiety and didn’t associate with other dogs. Taking her to the Vet or groomers was a nightmare. Elijah sent daily videos and updates, he took the time to address every question or concern I had during her training. Molly came home after 4 weeks training knowing place command, least behavior, improved socialization skills and less reactive to triggers. Even in the earlier videos I could see how much Molly liked him. She wanted to please him. Truly, Elijah was amazing with her. He’s like a Dog Whisperer. I would highly recommend Elijah as a trainer!

Trainer lauren 10 stars - Dogwise 1 star !!
I feel Dogwise as a company let myself and dog down! They placed my dog with a man that mistreated my dog, that did no training, I believe did not feed and left in a crate constantly! Dogwise did not truly know the kind of man and trainer they hired which is disturbing to me on their hiring process and the care that any other dogs will get. A bad start the first week ended with Lauren going above and beyond to get my dog out of a terrible situation. She then had my dog for 4 weeks. OMG amazing!! At this point I felt so comfortable and so much more relaxed. I received up dates and videos daily with great detail not only how she was training my dog but myself also!!!
Lauren is honest, straight forward and always there if you need her for questions or help!
I asked the CEO for some compensation for the first week filled with stress, concern, and pure fear as a dog parent and was told in so many words it was not within there budget! That was crap!! This program was super expensive for me to begin with and when my dog was handed over to Lauren from this other trainer he was missing belongings I sent him with, leash, toys, bed etc.. which will be an added expense for me to replace now!
I would trust Lauren 100% but please tread lightly with the company itself.
I talked with the CEO 2 times and als I heard was I understand, and no care in his voice. But he did offer to buy my dog a toy! lol how generous!!
Thank you Lauren for everything you truly are amazing!!

Dogwise Academy is a great place to have your pet trained at.
Dogwise Academy is a great place to find the perfect trainer for your pet. Our experience with Njoud as our English bulldog's trainer was absolutely wonderful! She is a very dedicated and a professional trainer. Chato(our dog) came home after a 5 week training session knowing commands, basic obedience and less reactive to triggers. We were very pleased with our trainer Njoud and recommend her highly.

Rene has greatly helped and continues…
Rene has greatly helped and continues to help our puppy become an obedient little girl that two old people can manage. We’re grateful for her help with Coco. Rene’s assisted in potty tracing and commands to help control behavior. She also designed a schedule that has greatly helped get Coco on track. Thank you, Rene.
