Luis was amazing to work with - always responsive, professional, and patient. In just three weeks, he transformed Tallulah from a frightened and fretful puppy to one with confidence. She's no longer afraid to go outside or walk steps, noises don't frighten her, and she's fully potty trained. All with positive reinforcement! Even though I missed Tallulah, I knew she was in good hands. Thanks, Luis!

The experience exceeded all my expectations. From the moment we began the training, it was evident that the program was meticulously designed to ensure a smooth transition for both me and furry baby. Tyson stayed with Njoud 5 weeks, when she came to pick him up I was worried because Tyson is scared of people but he connected with Njoud and her husband right away :) (this gave me a good signal) of course I was sad because I will miss him a lot but I knew this was for the best. Njoud sent us videos and phots every single day so I knew he was ok and having a good time. When he came back, Njoud explained us the training she did and the areas she focus the most. We noticed some good changes in his behavior and he feels more confidente but also Njoud told us this will take time because fears and PTSD is a long journey. The training program covered all the essential aspects from establishing a safe environment to teaching basic commands and building confidence were me and husband was most interested about since our furry friend has a lot of fears (probably those fears were when he was living in the streets in Tijuana before we rescued him). Njoud is credibly knowledgeable and experienced in dog behavior and training techniques. Her guidance was instrumental in helping me understand my dog’s body language and how to effectively understand and communicate with him. One of the key principles of the training program was the use of positive reinforcement to encourage desired behaviors. Rather than focusing on punishment or corrections, the emphasis was on rewarding good behavior with praise, treats, and toys. Tyson loves all the puzzles Njoud gave him and he enjoys every single one. She is always available to answer questions, address concerns, and provide additional resources to support our training journey through WhatsApp. I felt empowered and equipped with the knowledge and skills to continue our training journey long after the program ended. Thank you Dogwise Team and Njoud for all your help in this journey, that we know is just the beginning. Giuliana and Diego

Brandon is so knowledgable about dogs & how they think, & so helpful in “training” people owners how to understand their dogs better. He’s amazing!

Luca's (six month old 9 lbs. puppy) time with the trainer was less then I expected. I contacted Dogwise Academy because I was having a time issue with being able to house train him. The trainer asked me questions about was he allowed on furniture and we talked about my planning to install a doggy door. I received a few videos of Luca's training and he was doing pretty good with basic commands. The trainer moved locations while Luca was with him. I was not given this information until pick up. I figured it should be okay since Luca seems to travel well. When Luca was dropped off we went over the basic commands and Luca seemed to follow most. But used the house as a bathroom same as before he left. I asked the trainer about it and his response was that he kept him in a create when not training, so he is still not house broken. I am having to deal with this and keep him created when I am at work. The night before drop off I was informed Luca had been bitten by a spider and his back leg was red and swollen a bit. The trainer mentioned that he was planning on clearing some of the brush from his new property the following week. Within a few days the back leg was worse and his front paw also started to swell. I spoke to The trainer and I agreed that a vet visit was in order. I'm in a small town and the vets were not available so I have to drive 90 miles to another city to have him seen. The trainer had said he would cover the vet visit, just call him and he would give his card over the phone. When I got to the Vet Luca had not been bit, but had fox tails imbedded in his feet. The vet said the only way to get them out would be surgery. I tried to call the trainer but no answer so I used the app to ask the DogWise Academy what the plan was. They said they were not responsible and that the trainer never told me he would cover anything. As of today 6/03/2024 I have not heard from the trainer, he hasn't even called to check on Luca. I know the trainer didn't expect a 1300 bill, but he should of replied to me and kept his word to at least help with the bill. So I am still working on house training and I am out a whole lot of money with little to show for it. I love Luca and he deserves to not be in a create all day. I told the trainer my plan was to have Luca trained as a Service dog for PSA. So it was very important to me that the house training happen and the property should have been cleared before the animals arrived. Funny if you give good reports on the trainer they don't have a problem with using their name, but say something not favorable and they flag your review. July 12, 2024 update: After my review Dogwise Academy has reached out and we are currently working to correct some of the issues with Luca's training. I had to housebrake him myself as I could not wait for them and this was not something we could do over a video. I have been able to meet with the trainer in person yesterday and we are working together. Hopefully things will progress well in the near future. UPDATE AUG. 2024 I have been working with the trainer with one in person and a few virtual seasons and have sent videos of me working with Luca. The trainer has been able to give me some good advice over the past few months and things are better. I am looking at a life time of love with my Luca and have managed to get his behavior and training to a manageable state with the help of the trainer.

Shout out to the best trainer Rina Blue left to go to Dogwise Academy a good dog but very undisciplined, eg pulling on the leash (hard), not staying and chasing everything that looked interesting. Now she walks on a leash without jerking my shoulders out of joint, she waits for me, she knows heel and the command to leave it and not run after it. I wish that I could have done longer but not right now. I have a good time with my girl Blue now.

I highly recommend Dog Academy training. They were highly professional, caring, and thorough. Our trainer. Teresa was fantastic. My dog left as a maniac and came home very well-behaved. This was money well spent, and I am learning and being trained as well as my dog Thank you so much, Dog Academy

I love this program. I was skeptical at first as it if very expensive and I have tried a board and train before that was cheaper but not worth the money. Good news is they offer a payment plan. The trainer picked my dog up and dropped him off when he was all finished even though she was 2 hours away. We worked/are working with Tressie and I only have positive things to say about her. She had my 7 month old pup for 4 weeks and she did excellent with giving him more confidence to be a better pup. He has only been home for 3 days now but she helped build his confidence so much that he is like a new pup. I'm not saying he is now perfect, as he isn't but his listening skills have improved at least 90%. Don't go into a training like this thinking there will be no work required by you when they arrive home because you will be disappointed. Work is required but they will guide you through how to handle everything you are having issues with. My pup did get a small injury on his foot during one of his play sessions but she made sure to tell me right away and kept an eye on it while he was there. My favorite part about this program was the daily video updates and the constant communication. It's very nerve wrecking sending your pup away with a stranger for 4 weeks but she reassured me everyday. Not only telling me, but showing me he is doing well. I also loved that he was in her own home and not left in a boarding facility.

Following a challenging two weeks under the guidance of one trainer (who was eventually dismissed), we were fortunate to have Lauren step in. She was truly exceptional. Lauren collaborated closely with us to ensure Murphy received top-notch care, was treated with kindness, and was trained to his fullest potential. Each day, she kept us informed of his progress. Despite Murphy contracting an infection (unrelated to Lauren's care) and needing to return home a day early, the difference in his behavior was remarkable. He now walks calmly by my side, no longer pulling on the leash. His crate has become his sanctuary, a far cry from the days when he would protest vehemently. While there may still be some areas for improvement, opting for the two-week training with Lauren was undoubtedly the best decision we made. We cannot speak highly enough of her expertise and dedication.
