While the initial introduction to their product by Christine Hart was informative and helpful and when two weeks later the installation men came and put in the additional wire and set the flags - we only got 5 minutes of "training" by the official "trainer" at that time. Several weeks later Christine came again for discussion of a problem and spent close to 1/2 to 3/4 of an hour with us. She called a week to 10 days later and left a message to call if we needed additional help. We did not. Our golden was trained very easily and might have in his first home been trained to a wire. However, for the close to an hour training session we were charged $279.99. I found in your price list the charge for obedience classes with Bob at $69.99 each (we are 1/2 hr. at the most from Otego).

Overall everything was great but they never sent me the right collar in red for my younger dog and I am always so busy so it just made it to be another thing I have to follow up on. Tia

I found the salesman to be genuine and helpful. They did not come to my house to talk about my specific yard and discuss possibilities. That was done when they came to install. Was not thrilled with that. Installers were nice but very much in a hurry. I don’t feel I received or my dogs received enough attention and training. They forgot to drop off booklet so I was clueless for a few days. They did come back to bring Book and a little more instruction. I had an issue with one dog running through and we talked it out over the phone. I am all in all pleased with the fence and the price. I wish the after purchase customer service would have been included a phone call or 2 to just check on me to see how I was doing or if I had any problems.

The guys at this Dogwatch are very nice and answer all of my questions! Their turn around time for installation was quick and they got the job done fast! There is always a rapid response to any phone calls with issues to the fence. The only thing holding them back from 5 stars is the lack of knowledge in correctly training a new dog to the fence. We had a Dogwatch fence in our previous home. The training we received for both the dog and ourselves was amazing in that market. I expected the same training here and unfortunately didn't receive that. Luckily I still had the paperwork and knowledge from the previous dog to train our new puppy myself. I truly believe that starting the dog off correctly to the fence will determine the effect the fence has on keeping the dog in the yard.

Good installation experience, except that the fence was placed on the edge of steep slope in one section and my FIOS line was cut (not his fault) and now their wire is still above ground after my FIOS repair as the owner did not use the conduit that was installed to hold their wire when it was connected. Training instructions on site were rushed, with too much reliance placed on the owner reading the manual and no information provided for unusual circumstances, like not having 2 people to do training and having a dog who struggled with the concept. Both owner and installer were very pleasant and these are minor hiccups.

Great product that has worked without any problems for us and our dog. Roy was a wonderful hands-on trainer. It's expensive for the simple equipment supplied - lots of wire and a transmitter - but the device is higher quality than what you will find elsewhere, and the company was great to work with. I recommend DogWatch of Vermont.

The guy that installed our dogwatch system was very nice and knowledgeable about his product. Install was much faster than expected and little to no mess left in the yard after trenching. My only issue, and it's very small, was he convinced us to install the wire in a pattern that WE really didn't want. Overall, I'm very pleased.
