the process was very well thought out. The steps to completion made sense for a service animal certification. I am very happy with the results.

I had already started to trained Bay prior to this program and this just helped me master the basics! I've had trainers tell me other techniques (ex: like pushing the dog down for lay) and found it ineffective and for my dogs to begin to resist. Following this course and techniques worked beautifully. I was able to correct what wasn't working and apply techniques that were really effective. I am so happy I invested in this purchase. She is now almost mastered the basics and ready to begin service animal training. Thank you!!!

That's fantastic to hear! It sounds like you've found an effective approach that resonates with both you and your dog. Consistency and positive reinforcement can make a huge difference in training success, especially for service animals where reliability and trust are crucial. It's great that you were able to identify what wasn't working and adapt your methods to something that clicked better for both you and Bay. Keep up the great work, and best of luck with Bay's service animal training journey!

I submitted a request for information on bark.com and received an extremely aggressive sales call in response, complete with pressured tactics to get someone in my house the next day for training and repeated “why, when I’m giving you a deal” type questions, when I’d just asked how to contact them if I decided to go forward. It is not at all unreasonable for me to take a moment before deciding. The pressure tactics were unreal “these are lovely dogs and I’d hate to see them die” because I stated I wanted to look into a local trainer that also did boarding so they’d be familiar if I wanted to use that service. These dogs have NO major behavior problems, I was looking for training regarding barking at the window for deliveries and inconsistent recall. I hung up at that point but this phone call was really ridiculous. Caller stated his name was Tom.

I'm sorry to hear about your experience, and I completely understand how overwhelming and uncomfortable it must have been to receive such an aggressive sales call. It's completely reasonable to want to take your time when making a decision about something as important as dog training, especially when it involves the well-being of your beloved pets. The tactics described in the call are not only unprofessional but also deeply concerning. No one should ever feel pressured or guilt-tripped into making a decision, especially when it comes to seeking help for their pets. It's disappointing to hear that what should have been a simple inquiry turned into such a distressing encounter for you. Your concerns about your dogs' behavior are valid and deserving of thoughtful consideration and support from a professional who respects your needs and boundaries. I hope you're able to find a trainer who will provide the guidance and assistance you're looking for in a way that feels comfortable and empowering for you and your furry companions. If you need any further assistance or support in your search, please don't hesitate to reach out. Mandy Wahl [email protected]

I love working with dog academy! My dog loved the training and we continue to train everyday. It was a challenge making the videos but my dog is smart. He’s just like a little boy trapped inside his dog body. I love him and need him so much to make me feel good. And he does just that. Looking forward to him being by my side wherever life takes me.I recommend dog academy to anyone who needs to train their dog to meet their needs. Thank you dog academy!

Follow up - I recently wrote a one star review saying I felt scammed by this company. I was promised certain training information and was given typo filled inconsistent lessons which looked copy-pasted out of wikipedia. The company responded to my review saying they wanted to further discuss with me - and after I replied to that ... They ghosted me. They're just replying on here to look like they're doing the work to improve the company (but they're not actually doing the work). Honestly, just YouTube the trainings you want...this company is trash.
