Great tech as far as integration into the codebase, but no respect or consideration for their customers. By default they turn on automatic dispute resolution without even telling you about it and you automatically lose every dispute even if they're unsubstantiated. If you use this payment provider, make sure to TURN OFF VISA RDR, or you will be swindled by fake customers.
Response from Dodo PaymentsJun 17, 2026
Hi there, We appreciate the feedback and are glad the integration experience worked well for you. On Visa RDR - it's enabled by default and documented in our dispute management documentation. It auto-resolves qualifying low-value disputes before they escalate into formal chargebacks, which reduces fees and overhead for most merchants. It doesn't mean you automatically lose every dispute. We're working on making these settings more prominent during onboarding so merchants can configure them upfront. Team Dodo Payments

The features are buggy. I was using their credit features and found a lot of bugs in it. I reported them via their Discord support channel and it took around 10 days of back to back conversations to let them accept that it is a bug. The support via Discord is too slow. The impact is high since they are a payment gateway. Onboarding process was smooth and payout procedure was also smooth. Please mark new fetures as beta so that we can stay away from using it.

Hi, Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback. We are sorry to hear about the experience with the credit features, and we completely understand how frustrating it must have been to go through several days of back and forth before the bug was acknowledged. That is not the standard we want to hold ourselves to, especially for a payment platform. Your suggestion about marking new features as beta is genuinely valuable and something we are taking seriously internally. It would help set clearer expectations for merchants and allow you to make informed decisions about what to rely on in production. We are glad to hear that onboarding and payouts have been smooth, and we hope to earn back your confidence as we improve the stability of newer features and our support response times. If you have any further feedback or run into anything else, please feel free to reach out to us at [email protected], and we will make sure it gets the attention it deserves. Team Dodo Payments

Multiple payment failures - even with Mastercard and UPI
Response from Dodo PaymentsJan 30, 2026
Hi, Thank you for sharing your concern. Our team has already explained this to you, but to clarify here as well: payment success rates in India can vary due to underlying regulatory and banking constraints. For card subscriptions, transactions above INR 15,000 often require customers to manually approve each charge, which can lead to failures. Additionally, UPI Autopay involves multiple authorisation steps and is known to have higher drop-off rates during setup and execution. Because of these factors, India's payment success rates may not always match global averages. That said, they are still significantly better than what most merchants typically see with individual payment setups. If you’d like us to look into specific failed transactions, feel free to reach out, and we’ll be happy to help. Team Dodo Payments

Signing in on ios using link takes to browser instead of app. No google login option like web app
Response from Dodo PaymentsFeb 6, 2026
Hi, Thank you for sharing this feedback. You’re right about the current iOS sign-in experience. Our team is actively working on improving the in-app authentication flow so sign-ins don’t redirect to the browser, and we’ve also logged this as a feature request internally based on feedback like yours. We appreciate you calling this out. Input like this directly helps us prioritise fixes and improvements. If you have any additional context or suggestions, feel free to share them with us. Very, very high charges. You have to pay charges everywhere. There is a 5% Payment Transaction Fee, a 20% tax, and a $5 Payout Fee. The profit I generated from the service was taken by DoDo Payment. You can not withdraw until you have $100 in your account. Their website, system, and documentation are good, but support is late & charges are too high.
Response from Dodo PaymentsAug 18, 2025
Hi, Thanks for your feedback. Our fees reflect payout processing, taxes, and payment network charges, which we clearly outline during onboarding. These fees help us comply with regulations and keep the platform secure and reliable. If you have any questions about the fees or need a detailed breakdown, please reach out to [email protected]. We’re here to help. Team Dodo Payments
