The website says it converts PDF to CSV after you go in create an account pay him some money try and convert my PDF and the only one excluded is CSV! Ridiculous

super hard to use and wont compress big files

You charged me $49 after I canceled during the trial week. I had to dispute the charge. Very disreputable and never responded to my email other than “you’ll hear from us within 24 hours.”

I am extremely disappointed with my experience using Document Genius. In my opinion, their business practices feel misleading and unfair, especially around their so‑called “free trial.” I was charged despite being within the trial period, and when I attempted to request a refund, they refused to return my money. From my experience, the company seems to rely heavily on customers forgetting to cancel the trial before the deadline, which feels intentionally predatory. What made things worse is how difficult they make it to contact anyone for help. Their website lists phone support in the “Contact Us” section, but throughout the week the phone line goes unanswered—and on weekends, it appears completely shut off. When I finally reached someone by email, I was told they do not provide phone assistance at all, directly contradicting what their own website states. This is extremely frustrating, especially for users who may be visually impaired or who depend on phone support to navigate issues. Accessibility should never be an afterthought, and this experience left me feeling ignored and taken advantage of. Based on what I encountered, I cannot recommend Document Genius. I hope they improve their customer service, accessibility, and transparency so others don’t go through what I did.

I needed to convert comma separated items in a column of a spread sheet and that was beyond the capabilities of this service. Even LibreOffice had trouble with the task.

HORRRIBLE CONVERSION

Scam - charged my card - don't know how they got my number - no number to call on website - chat function does not work, so I emailed and no response. So this is their response: Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We’re sorry to hear about your experience and understand how concerning an unexpected charge can be. We’d like the opportunity to review your account and resolve this properly. Please email us at support @documentgenius.com and include “Attention: Betty” in the subject line so we can locate your case quickly and assist you directly. We don’t offer phone support, but our team is available via email and chat, and we’re happy to help once we have your details. We appreciate you reaching out and look forward to helping you resolve this. So I sent another email today, but am I supposed to give them my credit card number via an email when they already fraudulently charged my card? What business has no phone support today? I tried their chat but it doesn't work. Go to Help, Contact Us and click on Chat: "Click to Speak to a Live Agent". Nothing happens as the link does not work. Sure looks like a scam to me. So they responded: Hi Keith, Thank you for reaching out. We came across your review on Trustpilot and wanted to follow up directly. I’m truly sorry for the frustration this situation has caused and completely understand how unexpected charges can be concerning. To clarify, our 7-day grace period allows users to cancel their trial at any time under User Settings before it renews into a monthly subscription. This policy is clearly presented during sign-up, though I understand it may not have been clear in your experience. We have reviewed your case and have already processed a refund for the charge. Please note that refunds typically take 5–7 business days to appear on your account, depending on your bank. We truly appreciate you bringing this to our attention. If you’re open to it, we would be grateful if you could update your Trustpilot review to reflect that your issue has now been resolved. It’s important for other users to see that we do honor refunds and take customer feedback seriously. Thank you again for giving us the opportunity to make this right. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any further questions or need assistance. Best, Betty Document Genius support @documentgenius.com Let's see if they actually refund me. I asked them for my account number or login as supposedly I have an account.

On December 20, 2025 I was seeking a specific form. I went to documentgenius. I paid $1 for the use of site. Never completed form as they said they charged $39.99 for subscription. I stopped and backed out. On January 2 I received charge of $39.99. I have attempted 5x to contact them via phone and was told no agents at this time. I tried live chat 3x and it would not connect. Lastly I sent e-mail and received no response. I have contacted my credit card company and opened a dispute. I wouild not recommend these people.
