I live in a home paying $3200 a month.... I thought it was my dream home and in a good location, but I tell you.... IT WAS MY WORSE NIGHTMARE. The guy came to do the inspection, was a divvy guy and he did what he did.... but it was just patch work for Divvy. The ceiling fell in, then they sent their people out which did a masking job (must have been the lowest bid) and they were so unprofessional.... They didn't show up when they said I waited two hours after scheduled time. I even had to hire people to upgrade areas of the home. I lost over $15,000 trusting the process, but the process was their greed and my desire to have home ownership. Now I am at wits end, trying to get another home..... God bless each of us, whom just want to be treated fairly....

What can say RUN!!! do not waste your money . This is a greedy and vulturous company. They don’t care about you they care about getting their over priced rent . Save your money especially with the local rental company they more in tune to work with you . Good luck in getting anyone on the phones . offices open at 9am and the phones stay busy until 4:45 then you hear an out of office message . They are overly priced and God help you if you ever lose your job or missed a payment. Whereas the regular rental place will work with you they go straight to filing eviction. This is a mess and a vulture on poor people or those who can’t afford to buy . Leave them alone and let them struggle , get knowledgeable about them,Also please read their reviews and lawsuits or else you will fall prey . I am done with them and feel so relieved my money can be in my pocket . Big waste of time .

I hate that I have to put a star on here. For $3000 a month I live in a dump where, right now, I have a kitchen sink that doubles as a marinade for something I wouldn’t recommend eating. I left my front door unlocked today because I know the key doesn’t work most the time but… turns out, it’s not the key… the door just doesn’t open and I had to go all the way around to the back door that I left unlocked as well because I don’t trust anything in this dump. Oh. And that was after I got home from physical therapy because I had ACL surgery 2 weeks ago so it was an enjoyable trek. And… in the 2 1/2 years we have been in this shithole they can’t make it to where I can put in requests online. I have to call. Everyone. And talk to someone that won’t help me if I talk to anyone at all. Oh: and the 2nd week we were here there were mushrooms… yes MUSHROOMS growing downwards from the ceiling on the 1sr floor in the middle of the room in a 2 story house. They pulled them out and painted over the holes. You too, can live this nightmare for $3000/month. Seriously run.

We went threw divvy its been the bets experience. When their was a problem with the home they had it fixed we have had no issues with this company at all.

Two stars only because I am so happy to be rid of Divvy. Broken kitchen sink for months, no heat upstairs due to poor vents, and I had to pay $300 for trash removal because the garage was full of trash on my move in day. I was told this would be gone at the walk through and when I contacted Divvy, there was no response. Broken tvs, old mattresses, and broke down camping gear. As for the sink, it eventually backed up in the tub and my father ended up paying for a competent plumber. Divvy sent the same plumbers twice and no results. I am lucky I did not buy as I don't feel they are good for business. I ended up in a better home and I thank God it's over.

I am writing to express my profound disappointment and concern regarding my recent experience with Divvy. Your mission statement emphasizes accessibility, equity, and diversity, yet my family has faced significant risk of homelessness due to your company's actions. The callous disregard we encountered, particularly the response of "good luck to you and your family" when trying to settle this balance, is deeply troubling. The entire process has felt like a bait and switch. Promises of a move-in ready property were not met, and critical remediation work was delayed for months. This has placed an overwhelming financial burden on my family, one that we are struggling to bear. Your team's failure to uphold commitments and the gaslighting we experienced have only added to our distress. Furthermore, the predatory practices have placed underprivileged families like mine at even greater risk. By failing to honor commitments and providing misleading information, you perpetuate a cycle of instability for those already facing financial challenges. This behavior reflects a systemic issue that must be addressed to protect vulnerable communities. I urge HUD to investigate these practices to ensure that all families receive fair and equitable treatment in their pursuit of housing stability.

total waste of time and money. total lie, false advertising. Don't waste your time. They sell you a dream to apply them smash it with high requirements, and offerings of partnered service to just continue to rob you of your dreams.

We rented from Divvy for 3 years in their rent to own program. It has been the worst experience of our lives. The initial process to get in the home went smoothly however things quickly went downhill. The vendors they use to repair items do shoddy work and it takes 3-4 months to actually repair anything. We were without use of our 2nd bathroom for more than 4 months- NO OFFER FOR RENTAL ADJUSTMENT and on top of that we had to have expensive equipment in there running up our electric bill, no offer to cover this expense even though it was due to their negligence. After more than 2 years in the home Divvy changed their reporting agency marking my account as closed and dropping my credit over 100 pts!!! 6 months before we are supposed to purchase the home making it where we were not able to get a mortgage! When it came to the end of the 3 years Divvy would not renew our lease so we either had to buy or move. We accrued 16,123 through their savings program and they agreed to take the final months rent from this. They wanted us to be out of the home in the middle of May but pay for the full month. We were not able to finish moving by their time frame so they filed an eviction, we answered the eviction and a court date was set. 10 days BEFORE the court date they went to the home ILLEGALLY changed the locks with our belongings inside. We contacted them trying to regain our belongings and was denied. We went to court and came to a mutual dismissal agreement to have our savings money returned and now they are trying to go against that and not return what they agreed to! Considering filing a civil case at this point as my tenant rights were violated and they are not keeping the agreement made. Their reason? According to their lawyer his fees nearly doubled because we left a negative review, and the company asked him to respond. DONT GO THROUGH THIS PROGRAM, RENT FROM A RESPECTABLE LANDLORD AND BUILD YOUR CREDIT TO BUY!
