DON'T use this company, wouldn't purchase a dog house through them!!!! This is the worst home purchase based company on the planet!!!! Is nothing but a steady runaround and rejection after rejection. It seems like they want only high end homes hoping the buyer can't afford them and they can resell them at a higher profit!!!! Where do I start! first the company never contacts you with answers to questions, and if they do the answer is very vague and seems like a computer response. You never get a person, just a leave message and nothing. They right from the start asking for money. Give me a 50$ set up fee, don't disclose any of the "Requirements" (and there are a lot of them, many quite outlandish!!!), and they never really do give you specifics on them in intirity. On several homes I asked for "specifics" to why they rejected the home, and got answers a stranger could have come up with. Then before they can do any inquiries they want an additional 500$ deposit prior to doing much of anything. They indicate the prefer a bank transfer. DON'T DO IT. Getting refund is near impossible. With Credit Card you can file fraud complaint, which we did. Then you submit house after house and they find all kinds of reasons to reject it. We had one home that passed the ridiculous requirements only to have the Divvy team sabotage the purchase with a "we can withdraw the offer to buy right up to closing". What seller would agree to such an open-ended way to cancel! Only a very stupid or desperate one, which is what I think they pray upon. From day one, its a battle to do anything with Divvy. It leaves not only the seller but buyer in a state of limbo. VERY bad business practices. You send requests for why they rejected the home and you get, it didn't meet requirements. They send you a link that gives you nothing. Just the home didn't meet the "requirements over and over again. In closing I spoke to three local agents that also have very bad dealings with Divvy, and refused to work with them. So, this in not a one off. Should have read the reviews, google has tons of them, all with same issues. The BBB site has over 130 very damaging reviews. Wish i would have seem them first. If you're smart run don't walk away. Hope this prevents many from falling into the snake pit Divvy is!

Gotta say, in all honesty, it was easier than I imagined and despite the overwhelmingly negative reviews I have not a single complaint about Divvy homes and the team they have. I only ever meet the realtor and I couldn’t be happier with Mr. Shank. I’m telling you, from start to finish the whole process seemed smooth efficient and effortless. I applied, got approved in minutes and within a day they reached out to me. Finding the house was a bit tricky and the list they have on their site would lead you to believe they were vetted but they aren’t. So that took some time, finding a house that met their requirements took a toll, but once we found it and gave them the $500 they immediately put the offer in. Offer had to be adjusted and my realtor contacted me before anything was done. I’m telling you that within 10 days of finding the house I was in a uhaul moving my family in. Had an issue with turning the utilities on and divvy answered every email immediately and the realtor went above and beyond by calling the water company directly to provide the paperwork they needed, which was ridiculous on the water companies end. But divvy and their team got it done without hesitation. Couple maintenance things were promised within the first 3 weeks that haven’t gotten done but they’re minor and not worth complaining about. All in all… five stars for divvy. Maybe every situation is unique but if I could do this you can too unless you enjoy paying rent to live in someone else’s house. This isn’t a quick process and if you aren’t playing the long game then keep renting. The buy out price is higher than the price divvy paid…duh… this is a business your dealing with. The people who complained about that didn’t mention that the buy out price is lower than what the market value is estimated to be at the time your ready to buy it from divvy. The monthly payment isn’t much higher, if at all, than what the average rent would be in my case at least.

WHAT A NIGHTMARE!!!! If you are reading this and considering using Divvy... for your own good please RECONSIDER!!!! I know your desperate to get into a new house. I know this because I was. I read the bad reviews but still had hope because I was extremely desperate. What I didn't understand is this company is preying off of the hopes and dreams of first time home buyers. If you think this company cares about helping you get a home, your wrong. This company cares about making money. That's it. They are going to make money off of you paying extremely high rent, and then they are going to make even more money if you end up being able to actually buy the house. That's a big if because they don't save enough $ each month for your deposit. If you don't buy the house from them within a year not only does your rent go up but your buyback price goes up. However when your rent goes up do they save more for your down payment each month? Nope. That extra money your now paying each month just goes in their pocket. They don't want you to buy the house because they can turn around and sell it for even more money. Again, this company exist to make money, NOT to help you get into a home. So here's the bottom line, your going to pay an exorbitant amount for rent each month, yet they fight you tooth and nail if you need any maintenance done and they will make even more money off of you if you try to buy the house from them. My offer for my home was $315,000 but I had to pay $332,000 and had to pay $3155 for rent. As a first time home buyer you will be better off just saving the money on your own. I barely managed to get my house out from under Divvy's greedy thumb and if I could do it all over again I would NEVER use Divvy. I wasted thousands of dollars. Their phone system is absolute garbage, their customer service is trash and their ethics is non existent. Divvy you should be ashamed of yourself for treating people this way.

Divvy the lease to own company is HORRIBLE! This company is so mismanaged it's a miracle that they are still in business today! Every time you call them after waiting, you get a different person and a different answer! No continuity! No one anything and they botch your offer and if you have anu HOA home forget it! These people are inept stay away from them!

First of all, if you have all your eggs in the right financial basket, not only would you have a proper down payment but also excellent credit to be accepted by the bank. However, if you don't this is where Divvy Homes can be a blessing to your unfavorable situation. You must be ready to go from beginning to end which means that once you are approved by Divvy you need to have all your down-payment and deposit ready, get a good agent (which Divvy will provide), and know where and what type of property you want, and just like magic you will be in your beautiful home like me and my family within months! I was skeptical at first until I saw them on a TV commercial. I knew I had nothing to lose. All your money is given back and used as your down payment to buy back the home. The only reason why people might be upset is that they may not have followed Divvy's easy protocols. I am so glad we put our trust in this amazing program. After each transaction, you are handed smoothly to the next team all the way until closing. It is just that simple. I give a shout-out to all the team members that helped to make our dream come true! They are a scam. They lie about how much you make and make you believe they will help you buy a home but really they don't do anything they say they do.

I decided not to use Divvy. Requested my $500.00 deposit was told it would take10 business. Now no response to email .
