Expensive place
The place is expensive with cheap customer service. I expected more reliable service from Disney!

Executive Guest Experience Review Animal Kingdom Lodge – Kidani Village Room 7653 Stay Dates: December 26, 2025 – December 31, 2025 Reservation: 755126162781 (Booked in early 2025) This letter is submitted to formally document significant service and experience deficiencies during our stay at Animal Kingdom Lodge – Kidani Village from December 26 through December 31, 2025, a reservation made well in advance in early 2025. Given the premium pricing, advance planning, and Disney’s own positioning of this property as a deluxe, family-focused resort, the experience fell materially short of reasonable expectations. Arrival, Check-In & Special Occasions Check-in was notably uneventful and lacked any sense of welcome or personalization. This was particularly concerning given that: • This was our grandchildren’s first visit to Disney, and • One grandson was celebrating a 10th birthday, a milestone clearly identified by Disney-issued pins worn throughout the stay. Beyond the pins, there was no acknowledgment whatsoever—no room recognition, no small gesture, no welcome note, and no effort to elevate what should have been once-in-a-lifetime moments for first-time guests. No “pixie dust”! Room & Amenities (Room 7653) We reserved a family suite at a deluxe resort. Despite this: • No complimentary bottled water or basic snacks were provided • We were required to place an Instacart order to meet basic needs This level of amenity offering is inconsistent with the price point and brand promise of a deluxe Disney resort. Late Check-Out Request (Denied) We requested a late check-out of 1–1.5 hours, explicitly explaining that one of the children was ill. This request was denied by Rachel, with no flexibility, accommodation, or empathy demonstrated. Given the circumstances, length of stay, and overall spend, this rigid response was particularly disappointing and inconsistent with expected service recovery standards. Refillable Cups – Inconsistent Information We asked multiple cast members about the complimentary refillable cups, only to later learn that: • Cups may be refilled only at resorts, not in the parks This limitation was not clearly disclosed and resulted in unnecessary confusion and inconvenience. Theme Park Experience & Birthday Recognition Despite the birthday pin being worn consistently throughout the week, there was no acknowledgment at all in the parks—no interaction, no greeting, no recognition. For a company built on storytelling and magic, this absence was striking. No “pixie dust”! Dining Plan / Points System Transparency The dining points system lacks transparency: • Food locations do not clearly identify what qualifies as a snack versus a quick-service meal • This ambiguity resulted in frequent unexpected out-of-pocket expenses The system, as currently implemented, feels confusing and financially disadvantageous to guests. Fast Pass / Lightning Lane Value We purchased Fast Passes only to later discover that: • Each attraction may be accessed only once per day using Fast Pass This material limitation was not clearly disclosed at purchase and significantly diminished the value proposition. Character Presence in Parks Character interaction was extremely limited. Over the entire stay, I observed approximately five characters total across all the parks. For children—particularly first-time visitors—this was a major disappointment and inconsistent with Disney’s reputation. Resort Activities & Children’s Programming At no point were resort excursions, children’s activities, or on-site programming communicated. We were not informed at check-in, provided a schedule, or directed to where this information could be found. We only learned of available activities after our stay, resulting in missed opportunities that cannot be recaptured. Positive Recognition Despite the issues noted, several cast members delivered exceptional service and deserve recognition: • Justin (Lobby) • Don (Sanaa) • Evan (Be Our Guest) Their professionalism and warmth stood out in an otherwise disappointing experience. Conclusion & Expectation This stay—planned nearly a year in advance and purchased at a premium—felt transactional rather than magical. The deficiencies outlined above represent systemic communication gaps, missed service recovery opportunities, and a failure to deliver on Disney’s stated guest experience standards. We respectfully request that this matter be reviewed at an executive level and that appropriate service recovery consideration be extended to reflect the gap between expectations and actual experience. Disappointed customer,
Jim S.

Sci- fi restaurant- Poor management team and more. Doesn’t care as much towards its cast members and interns and care much about the business only . Under direction of Justine P. along with abbey including others, on the management team don’t really care about others/ cast members/ interns and not representing Disney well regardless of the magic 🪄 . Which my opinion affects the services towards the guests in the restaurant at a popular place. They all should be suspended or fired 1 by 1. They will be eventually be caught for breaking company rules and regulations and discriminatory practices against there own cast members/ interns & others . This will stay here forever until the manger’s are fired or suspended especially Proprietor of their actions.

While visiting a friend in FL, she suggested that we visit Disney. I have cancer & this could have been my only opportunity to see/visit Disney. She purchased our tickets to the park not realizing that I wouldn’t be able to use mine because I’m not a FL resident. We arrived at Epcot this morning & I was unable to get my ticket. I was charged $174 on 7-06 to visit Animal Kingdom & the park was only open for another 3 hours…not even a discounted ticket with only 3 remaining hours left to use the park. The trip to Orlando was a HUGE waste of my time & time is something that I can’t get back! May your future good fortune be based on how you treat those that use your facilities!!!

The happiest place on earth unless you drive an EV. I have been a long time patron of Disney! We usually go 2or 3 times a year. My son even got married in Epcot. Last weekend we were there and stayed at the Contemporary Resort. I was shocked that there is no EV charging there. I was told to go to Magic Kingdom which I did and found that there are only 5 spots for the entire parking lot. Even the parking attendant told me that they are usually not available. Well I finally went back at 10 pm and got a charging station. I left my car over night and even over night charging did not fill my battery because their charging is soooooo slow. I am shocked because when I have stayed at a Universal Resort they have a bank of chargers that are free and fast for guests. Disney 1 star only for EV owners!

Decided to visit the USA for the first time by going to Disneyworld Orlando! Months of preparation and anticipation.... Dreamt about going since 7 years old!(now 35) Payed £1500 for 3 peoples tickets... assuming that was the cost to go on rides and enjoy our day.... very wrong and here's what they don't tell you...... Your tickets are to access the park yes and go on some rides with 90 plus mins wait minimum. However, if you want to go in the lightening lane you pay approx $27-$32 extra per person per day and you really only get to use this twice if your lucky as the ride might not be bookable via lightening lane until 6-8 hours later and you can not use the lightening lane again until that one you have booked had surpassed. Ontop of that the bigger attractions that you would assume would be included in the £1500 and/or the $27-$31 extra lightening lane cost but Disney ran out of ways to rob people so they decided to charge extra again for a selection of popular rides which are another $25-$32 depending on the popularity of the ride! So your standard tickets basically pay to have the honour of 'LOOKING' at the ride. For the first time in many magical years of loving every Disney movie (I'm 35 now and still love them) I came back to the UK disappointed in Disney for focusing only on making money and ruining the magic! Shame on Disney for bankrupting family's who spend years saving to come and experience Disney, to then need to scrimp and scrape for months once they are home due to your unfathomable hidden costs! I'm absolutely gutted to say that I wouldn't come back! Don't waste your money on Disney Orlando, irrelevant of offers, cus they will make their money in other ways back! If your from UK or more local to Paris, I'm sure its just as nice, and feedback from people who have been have said its much more affordable!

Florida, Disney Springs: On Monday 05th August 2024, at Disney springs in Florida, weather wasn’t too good, however the experience was fantastic, so many things you could do and look around. There was so much to keep you entertained while you visit. The area was a bit more modern and newer than last time I visited so it was amazing to be able to explore the new things. As the weather was not as good as I would have liked, most of the shelter had been taken so I couldn’t really stay dry, and I could barely stay dry for 5 minutes. I was pleasantly surprised to see the mixture of cafés, shops eateries and gift shops, so much to look round. Didn’t get to visit many places as the weather was not great, however my favourite place I went to was World Of Disney An improvement that could be made, is adding more shelter to stay dry in the rain and blazing heat in the sun and the red tile floors could do with being a little less slippy when wet. Overall todays experience was good and enjoyable (next time I might go on a dryer day haha) will definitely re-visit and hope to see some changes. Written by MADDs mad reviews The review kid :)
