I travelled from the UK expecting the usual Disney magic, but instead was met with disappointment, stress, and complete indifference from staff. Our original room at All-Star Movies was dirty, run-down, and not fit for purpose. After being dismissed by staff who refused to even view the room, we were forced to pay $1,867.16 to move to Pop Century — where a cockroach ran across my elderly mother’s lap. I was also denied access to Disability Access Services despite providing details of my fibromyalgia, faecal incontinence, and borderline personality disorder. The DAS refusal, plus ride breakdowns, poor food, and Lightning Lane issues made the whole experience distressing. Disney’s resolution? A $100 credit and a refusal to escalate the matter any further. For a holiday that cost over £5,000, I expected a magical experience — not to be ignored, dismissed, and left with serious regret. I will never return to Walt Disney World, and I urge others to think twice before spending a fortune on an experience that may not live up to what’s promised.

Walt Disney and MCU in particular are no longer great storytellers. Instead, you seem determined to wreck great past characters and make DEI more important than the story. I am not racist, sexist or gender brittle. But I am no longer interested in any of your movies. What you did with an iconic Indiana Jones was absolutely disgusting. You would have been better off to kill him off and had someone else take up his kind of career. Ironheart, a teen thief taking over the Ironman role. Seriously!!! I told many of my friends that they should give it some time. But your bold new PC movies are aging like soured milk. I have opined to any that ask me that I will never go to another spinoff or live animation shows that you create. New characters MAY excite me about your products again but I don’t count on it. Thank you for your past greatness and for crushing my expectations of future greatness.

I recently had a look, behind the curtain, at The Walt Disney Company, and my experience with the “Central Executive Correspondence” staff, and the people who staff the "Walt Disney World Guest Mail” departments of The Walt Disney Company, is unimpressive. I don’t know what happened to this once stellar, once iconic, American company, but, customer service at The Walt Disney Company has gone to hell. My take, and I have strong intuition, is that there is something very wrong with the culture at The Walt Disney Company, and the customer has become a disposable nuisance to The Walt Disney Company. While Disney may have once been a customer service great, that recognition is no longer aligned with Disney. It seems that Disney’s senior leadership would benefit from refresher training at The Disney Institute, and embracing the culture that The Disney Institute professes to be The Walt Disney Company culture. The Walt Disney Company threw that culture out, with the baby and the bath water.

We had a great time but on our last day we saved our Disney gift card to spend on our breakfast in magic Kingdom before we left for our flight and their system was down and couldn't accept the gift card and pressed us to pay another way even though we couldn't as we budgeted our gift card for this. They said if we paid and went to customer service they could sort it - we queued an hour on our last day for someone to tell us they couldn't sort it and we had to email but the couple next to us accidentally booked Disneyland and got free fastpasses and we didn't even get a sorry.

Unfair Refund Policy – International Guests Beware As an international guest from Türkiye, I purchased Disneyland California tickets for my family (worth $946 USD) for June 2025. Unfortunately, we had to cancel our visit due to a sudden and documented medical emergency involving my child. We notified Disneyland Guest Services several days in advance, both by email and in person. Despite explaining the situation and offering medical documentation, our refund request was denied outright. No exceptions were made, not even partial credit—not for a family traveling thousands of miles who could not use a single portion of the service. What makes it worse is that Disneyland Paris, operating under the same brand, offers refunds in such situations under EU consumer law. The inconsistency in policy between Disney parks across countries is unacceptable and unfair. After multiple attempts—including contacting the Better Business Bureau, the Federal Trade Commission, and the California Attorney General—I still have not received a resolution. Disneyland insists we must wait until the tickets expire in 2026 for a possible reissue, ignoring the fact that we may never be granted a U.S. visa again due to current geopolitical realities. This is not about policy—it’s about compassion, fairness, and responsible corporate behavior. I urge other international families to think twice before buying non-refundable Disneyland tickets. You risk losing a substantial amount of money—even in the face of emergencies.
