Terrible return policy. I placed an order, but then changed my mind. I emailed them within 20 minutes requesting the order to be cancelled. They got back to me, confirming the order was cancelled. Then a couple days later, they shipped out the order anyways. Great. Going through the return process, there is a 20% restocking fee. I should've just paid full price at Home Depot. It would've been a lot less headache.

I ordered and paid for a power screwdriver. Pick up at store. Got there a week later to get it they didn't hold it. The smartass told they called me, thet didn't call me. And it was not in my email about picking it up. Called customer service it was out of stock and was told they would make it right when it was in stock. It came back in stock they didn't notify me. I went to order it and they jacked up the shipping to 15. I got the same BS from customer service. They don't give a shit. Avoid this place and part geeks.

I purchased an 18V ONE+ Telescoping Pole Pump Kit SKU: RY20UP022KVNM. I was using it to pump water out of a large barrel. The pump worked fine until the battery died. I switched out batteries and the pump will not prime and then pump water. I tried several remedies but nothing worked. I call direct tools and they agreed to send me a replacement. However, I have to email them a picture of the pump and then once they're satisfied with that, they will email me a label for me to send the pump back. Once they get the pump they will then send me the replacement. I need the pump now, not three or four weeks from not. I'm thinking that I should have opted for the refund and just purchased a Milwaukee pump from Home Depot!

So tired of this scam company. They put things "on sale" and then you cannot purchase it either "on line" or at my local store. This occurs constantly and not some random occurrence. Their constant "sale emails" makes this even even more apparent of their fraudulent business methods. Find the big box store selling Ryobi tools and be done with this company.

Found an item on sale. Orders it, waited 2 weeks only to have it cancelled due to an “unforeseen issue”. I can still purchase a new one for twice the price. Bait and switch.

Two cancelled purchases. I have tried to purchase a 4 cycle string trimmer on their website. I had waited a week for the first order, went online and saw the order had been "removed". No explanation, no email, nothing. Called customer service, they explained "sometimes it isn't in inventory." Except your website said it was, and went through the process to reorder the same again, while confirming with the representative on the phone and on the website that it was in stock. Went to check the status the next day, "removed" again. Called, got the same BS answer from customer service, except the previous rep confirmed the order, confirmed the status, and even refunded $7.50 in shipping cost because of the price matching to previous order. I got to "escalation" and they took all of my information while claiming no one was available because it was after their normal business hours (this is after I had been on hold for over 50 minutes). Called again this morning, same confused customer service representatives with no actual clue what or why it was removed. I have now been on hold a second time for over an hour to find out what is going on. Absolutely worthless company to deal with, with no one knowing what they are doing, no customer service in the sense of nothing was done. Don't touch this company.

Couldn't complete the order because the system rejected our phone number (that is a valid phone number). Contacted support, they had no solution.

Thought the deal I got was pretty good, 40% off and $7.50 shipping. Received my tool and less than a week later their newest deal is for 50% off and $5.00 shipping. A difference of $20.50 for me. They would not do a price adjustment! I could understand if I had purchased several weeks or month prior, but again I had just received my order less than one week prior. Last time I'm going to purchase from them!
