Don't bother to use them
They act as though your items are on the next truck out (in fact, I was told that 3 times -each time a week apart) when in fact, it sits in a warehouse somewhere. When I received my items, they smelled musty. And there is no communication unless you call them. Twice when I called Diego about the progress of getting my items on a truck, he said that Maria from the office would get back to me by the end of the day. It never happened. My stuff was picked up April 21st and not delivered until May 29th. One more day and they would have had to pay me $30/day for being late according to the contract. One of my cabinets arrived with tiny holes in the doors, the shelves falling out and the back pieces off. The drawer was off its rails, and it is not usable. I'm sure any claim will take longer than it did to receive my items. They tell you what you want to hear but then they do not follow up. DO NOT BOTHER TO USE THEM! I do not know why Safe Ship bothers to use them. The actual men who did the loading and unloading were great. I do wish the ones that packed my cabinets were a bit more careful (they left shelves in) but overall they were pleasant and efficient. As of today, June 3rd, Diego is trying to make amends with me by offering to pay for the cabinet that is broken. They did take care of the damage.

Thank you for sharing your experience and we sincerely apologize for the frustration and stress this move caused you. We want to address your concerns directly and honestly. This move was arranged through SafeShip as the broker and Direct Relocation Services served as the carrier. We acknowledge that your delivery took longer than expected and that our communication throughout the process did not meet the standard you deserved. We are truly sorry for that. Regarding the delivery delay — we understand how incredibly stressful it is to wait for your belongings and not receive consistent updates. You should have been proactively informed every step of the way and that did not happen. We are addressing this internally because it is not acceptable for any customer to have to chase us down for updates on their own belongings. Regarding the follow-up calls that were promised and never made — this is something we take very seriously. When a callback is promised it must happen. We apologize that it did not and we are working to ensure this does not happen again. Regarding the cabinet damage — we are sorry your cabinet arrived in that condition. Please call us directly at 855.378.3110 and ask to speak with a manager so we can make sure your damage claim is handled promptly and fairly. We are grateful the loading and unloading crews made a positive impression — we will make sure they hear that. We are a licensed direct carrier under USDOT #3000931 with over 11 years of experience and we are committed to doing better. — The Direct Relocation Services Team Fort Lauderdale, FL | directrelocationservices.com | 855.378.3110 Licensed | Bonded | Insured | USDOT #3000931
