I have paid my insurance for the iast 20years on the 7, but then I call to pay today and I learned that my insurance was cancelled today (wtf)! Had to listen to this long speech about being sent to prison for fraud or something! Well DirectAuto you should be the ones going to jail, to cancel my insurance on the day its due just so you can charge late fees and reconnect fees because if anyone is ripping off its you ripping me off! They are by far the worst insurance company you could ever imagine, they cancel you when you start asking for information, they do not keep track of policies the way you'd expect an insurance company to, they are so unprofessional and they will take your money and tell you your covered until you need something, and don't expect them to help you get anything straightened out with the DMV when you switch states, they will leave you high and dry and jerk you around, they do not do any of the things they tell you they will make sure gets done. You can not trust or depend on them and they are nothing but a racket and total scam!!

The worse possible experience, below 1. Total scam. They call you and transfer you to at least 3 agents and you need to repeat the same information all over again. When you asked them why, they are arrogant. Scam, unprofessional.

In August you double charged me cash back checks, then in September you overcharged me again twice, and cash them checks. Then wrote me a statement out saying that I owed you more money. When I tried to cancel another Foreigner come on and told me that I had to pay 50 bucks to cancel my insurance because I had enough ! When I called the first time The Foreigner I talked to he tried to tell me I had two different car insurances out and owed money. You have my bank statement shows that they overcharged me twice cash the money and then sent me a bank statement out. I think this company needs a thorough investigation and I will give them full access to the recording of the conversations between the agents and myself! This company is nothing but crooks they have other affiliations . October 5th I'm calling the Federal trade commission with the recordings

If you fall on hard times don’t rely on this insurance company because all they care about is getting paid. I wouldn’t recommend this company to anyone I know.

Not only was I in a car accident that wasn’t my fault, but I spent all my time speaking with the adjusters on the other side. There was initially contact that I made and NOTHING else. Direct auto insurance is miserable to deal with. Customer service hardly understands or can help, or explain just why they ROBBED YOU BLIND. I purchased a new car (not new a 2008 Nissan versa) coming from a 2003 Honda civic. When creating policy for the 2008 MY BILL JUMPED $100 and they can explain other then “you changed the vehicle type”. I have had plenty of cars in my life time and never have I ever had such an atrocious jump in coverage. They blow, their follow up is miserable and they don’t solve any problems. I hope they get caught for the ABSOLUTE SCAM THEY ARE.

I was insured with Direct for approximately three months before I realized that they were a terrible company to work with, so I canceled my policy and went with another company. I canceled the policy three days before my next payment was due, and yet they still found a way to charge me an entire months premium under their so-called pro-rata policy. This company praise on low income and high risk individuals. They are the absolute worst of the worst and I recommend that you find a different insurance carrier.
