NO EMAILS - CANCELLED ORDER - VERY UNHAPPY
Hi, I really don´t know where to begin, as I am still very upset about my experience with Dior. I thought I would purchase direct from the Dior US website, as I buy buying a gift for my brother for his 30th Birthday. He and his wife had just found out that they were expecting their first child, so I thought I would send him an extra special gift. He was visiting the states with his wife to see her family, and spend time with them in Las Vegas, so I opted to choose Dior US to buy his present and send to him directly. I selected the gift and proceeded to fill out the payment details and forms as requested and received and on-screen confirmation that my order was placed. A few days later, my sister-in-law called me to see what had happened, as it still hadn´t arrived, so I called the customer service line (from Spain – which cost quite a bit, as I was on the phone for 10 minutes to an overseas number). I spoke to a lady called Katty, who at first couldn’t locate my order, even after giving her all the details. Eventually… she located my order, and stated it was cancelled the day after the order was placed. I then went to check my emails and saw I had never received any emails from Dior and thought maybe my email address was incorrect (but I got a request to write a review on Trust Pilot, so it was correct). I asked her, why wasn´t I contacted to explain or be advised that my order was cancelled then I could have made alternative arrangements. This was now the day before his birthday, and the gift should have arrived 2 days before. She apologized, but I was still very unhappy about this, one, for using their website. She also explained that the order was cancelled as I had used an international card, (it’s money, why should that make a difference!!) and because I was shipping to a hotel (the gift was being sent by FEDEX, so again why would it make any difference!) I had previously spoken to the hotel, who confirmed that they were happy to receive his gift and deliver it to his room. Dior should put a note on the payment page, that should explain you can´t use international cards, not just in the questions page, and there also should be an email procedure in place to explain if your order has been cancelled and why. All in all, I’m not happy with the experience. I was looking forward to doing the same thing for all future family birthdays and events, through the UK website, but I have lost all faith in the company, and will most likely not purchase any further products from them.
