Really bad experience with cancellation. I bought a jacket online, and I tried to cancel less than two hours later.
They refused claiming a strict no cancellation period after 30 minutes, and that the jacket is being "prepared to ship", but the estimated delivery date is 15 days from now, and there is no determined carrier, which is something that doesn't work for me.
Their only solution was to wait for two weeks and then return in store an item that probably won't be accepted at their store.
Its a very backwards policy that will drive online customers away, even the most heavy spending ones.

I kinda already knew dick's sporting…
I kinda already knew dick's sporting goods sucked, however I was looking for a treadmill reasonably priced they advertised one and had it in their portsmouth store it was a Horizon T 101 for $649.00, decent price, nice machine, however you can't pay 649 and pick it up at the store, you have to pay them another $200.00 for delivery and setup, or buy it online and pay $250 for shipping, so it's basically a ripoff !!!!
Done with these DICK'S !!!

Nobody home...
I wantd new golf clubs. Two days in a row, same store, no service. Golf department area empty of any humans. Only 3 brands of clubs on the racks. Customers wandering around with questions and nobody to ask. I was ready to drop $800 on clubs but being nobody home I got them elsewhere. Like they care, maybe on paper but not in reality. Plus they won't read this review either. Plenty of other golf stores to give my money to, so I did.

Never will buy from Dick's again
Associate would not let me pick up treestand which I ordered and due to pay pal was automatically put in my husband's name. I have the same last name AND the confirming emails! Associate was cocky and rude and canceled the order "for me". This family will NEVER buy anything from Dick's again. The company name is kind of fitting... : )

This corporate industry is a complete joke! After being part of management for over five years and never missing a day of work, they fired me because I was helping customers get more scorecard points. My store manager was aware. They all conspired against me to get me fired, without warning they wanted me gone because I knew stuff and witnessed things first hand. My district manager John Trasher constantly hounded me about my back room, I wasn’t allowed to keep anything in the backstock. Meanwhile his little pet, a girl of course, he was grooming her. You say what for? To become a district manager even though this was her first retail job ever. How? Exactly! This chick was allowed to have items so old in backstock, they rung up as clearance, I found around 150 plus empty shoe boxes when I took over her department when they transferred her to Palm Springs to be a store manager. I wasn’t about that life! I’m grown, not wanting to go all round the country for a corporation that gives two cents bout me. I was punished because of the lack of butt kissing. Meanwhile this chick cried closing the store, it was so overwhelming, yea she did jump when the district manager said so but that doesn’t make you a district manager before 30 with a degree from the University of Phoenix. A complete n utter joke. Just imagine this person is a district manager, imagine how others in high places got there??? It makes you think. I was happily pursing a career in graphic design, were my creative side could flourish, instead of capitalizing on this John Trasher the district manager, seen me as standing in the way of this chick and her advancement because of the things I knew. It makes you really wonder about some people and how they got where they are. Sometimes it’s not because of hard work it favoritism and preference too. Store manager discriminated because we were women
Dover Delaware store manager refused to assist me and my sister because we were women looking to buy a hunting gun...he refused to even let us apply.. when we told him that we would just go to Mollys gun shop, he called the other store in a different state and told then that we were trying to buy gun illegally ! we reported him to ATF but he was rude and discrimative towards us as women. we called the customer number and have yet to hear anyting back. we went locally and found what we wanted and were approved immediately through the system...
