Jack, we appreciate your feedback on this one. We agree, we know the addition of sales tax on repairs can be annoying. But, this is unfortunately something that depends on state laws and tax laws. Some parts of the country we can pay sales tax, but most parts of the country the repairs are taxable to the policy holder. For larger repairs or when multiple repairs are needed to certain systems (suspension, electrical, etc.) we send out an independent third-party inspector to ensure we have an accurate diagnosis and to protect the vehicle owner as well. Larin, We will take a look at your claim to address your concerns. Currently, most vehicle manufacturers don't make their own parts or every part for the vehicles they manufacture and assemble. Most of them use the same suppliers that we call on for parts pricing and fulfillment. We assure you that the suppliers we rely are on-par or above the expectations for each specific vehicle. Sometimes it's hard to control part pricing with different repair shops. If you have any additional questions about parts/pricing, especially if you need assistance again in the future, we would be happy to work with you to address an questions or concerns.
