Really cool and nice place
Really cool and nice place, but the internet/WiFi just kept cutting off I couldn’t finish a movie and the parking was not mentioned in the text or email, I drove around twice. Also, it was odd to have someone come adjust the temp. It was still cold I just didn’t want to call anyone to come change it.

It was nice.
It was nice.. however we asked to turn the ac on (it was colder in the hallways then our room) we were told no..

Thanks for choosing us to host your stay on the Island! Domum is a 140 year old building. The hallways are generally cooler than the rooms. Your experience makes us better, thanks for sharing!

Nice place but bed was way too soft
Nice place but bed was way too soft. Very hard to even roll over. Space was small but all we needed for 1 night.

Quaint but non-functional
Real hassle just getting in the place, especially if one does not have a smart phone. How is a guest supposed to guess how to use the outside keypad? No kleenex, no closet, no counter space in bathroom, no place to hang wet towels, tiny bathroom sink, no clock, no way to get ice, tv did not function properly. No way we would stay more than 2 nights, Charming looks were deceiving.

Greetings Elizabeth, So sorry to hear you didn't like the bay window room. For access, we offer guests the use of their smart phone, however we are always happy to issue hard copy keys if preferred. You might be happy to hear that our keyless entry system has also been updated. Now a single four digit code will open every lock! For amenities, Domum is happy to offer simple, yet beautiful lodging in the middle of downtown Galveston. Very clean but much smaller than…
Very clean but much smaller than expected.. Shower water soaks bathroom floor. Codes are confusing to get in at first.

TINY SPACES
This hotel/room was on a website where— I thought that only promoted hotel stays. This room is like an AirBnB stay. You defiantly have to have an open mind to vintage stay. Likes: 1)Staff super nice very responsive. 2) upgrades to the bathroom. Dislikes: 1) tiny sink in the room ( outside of bathroom) 2) cracked floors 3) I was In room 5 your can hear the front door open and shut. Again, if it was just me it would be fine. I had a guest with me and he was not happy.

I think they are new and need some to time to get the place to be more comfortable and attractive.
We found the bed uncomfortable and could not sleep. I think it was too soft for us as were the pillows. There was no place to set our luggage. The sink was way too small. We couldn't get regular broadcast live tv. The outside of the house needs some work. I think they are relatively new and need some time to get the place looking better.

Hi John, Thanks for staying with us! Domum is a European / Victorian design, with minimalist rooms that focus on charm and beauty. For increased space we recommend our Deluxe rooms. Unfortunately, regular broadcast is not a planned product offering, however we are happy to continue our complimentary Netflix service. We hope to see you again on the Island!

The place was nice
The place was nice. I did not, however, like the bed at all. The room was definitely big enough for a king bed, and we got a full. Not enough room and way too soft. That would be the only reason not to come back.
