Domum de VencéReviews of devencer.com

I’m not super impressed. The pictures are not even close to what you get. Check in is way late. The bathroom is so small you and even do your make up or use the bathroom in privacy. Over all the bed was ok but please explain the room and what you get clearly to your guest.

As this room is on Booking.com, I am comparing it to other rooms I've stayed in. The positives are: great wifi and TV Netflix provided. Close to the historical area & cruise ship departure area. Nice hot water & communal coffee machine. However, if you don't have a car, the fact that you can't enter before 3.30pm and can't store luggage before check in or after check out is disappointing and very inconvenient, especially if it's raining. The pillows were terrible- thin polyester filling which didn't support head. There were no cushions to support back while watching TV. The pillows were supposed to do that, yet because there was a gap between the wall, used as a bed head and the mattress, the thin pillows could slip through the gap and they didn't support the back. Also, the hairdryer plug was broken, so it was unuseable. There is no refrigerator or microwave either and while the room states it is sound proofed, it is not. Aircon motors cutting in and out, a cat fight & other noises, meant little sleep.

The place was decent on the inside. Small rooms and the A/C did not work well. It was difficult to sleep in the warm room. Also, the outside was unkempt - tall grass and not much landscaping.

The room is clean but too small, much smaller than a regular hotel room. The AC unit wasn't cooling the small room enough so it was uncomfortable and we didn't have a good sleep at all. The bed size is full, not a queen size as it was advertised on booking.com. That isn't enough for two adults to sleep. The sink is located close to the bed, and it is too small that when you wash your face the water drops on the floor. Overall, our experience wasn't good, and I'm afraid I wouldn't recommend this facility for couples to stay.

We were under the impression it was a bed and breakfast. Our mistake. The rooms were tiny, busy most of all cold! Although it was a freak cold weather, the rooms could have been warmed prior to our arrival. Small units were inadequate for heating. The staff was excellent for trying to help. Maybe three star instead of two.

I had a very difficult time getting into your facility. Yes you sent me an e-mail with the access code but you didn't give any hints on how your cipher locks work so I almost couldn't get in the building. Thank goodness when I banged on the door someone came to see what the matter was and explained the lock system to me. There was NO hot water in my lavatory so I didn't even attempt to take a shower. I would not recommend Domum de Vence to my family or friends.

The picture on the Airbnb website are not even close to the room. The room we got was very small. The bed was old and the view we had was an air conditioning unit. There was free wifi and free Netflix but no cable. Would not recommend

This older house does not keep up with Texas Heat!!! Way too hot in these rooms. They said the AC units were new but our room never got below 80 degrees even in the middle of the night. Plugs in the bathroom area are close to the shower with no door so if anything is plugged in, if you try to take it out, you might get electrocuted. I text the hotel around 10pm and got a response, but then again at 230 am they messaged me again, different information. We were asleep!!!! Will NEVER use this place again. ** response to below "explanation" ** After just now reading reviews we are NOT the only ones who had AC problems. May be time to upgrade the system again!! May cost more on the electric bill but having happy customers would mean more to me than that! Also!! Handicap access would be great too!! Waited outside, after going to my vehicle to get something, for a handicap man and his family to get him inside for about 20 min!
