You have a wedding planner named Wayde Salmon. He didn't follow through on time processing our booked rooms to which my sister's wedding package was canceled in August of 2022, because Wayde never got in touch with them to give the details of the rooms that were booked. My sister was getting married on March 23rd 2023 and would have gotten the hurtful surprise of not being able to have her ceremony because of an incompetent wedding planner. When you call Mr. Salmon he doesn't answer your phone calls, he reads your text messages, but doesn't respond back to you. His mailbox on his phone is always full. I have written emails, called and text. I'm trying to cancel my reservation since early this morning. I'm doing it way over 60 days in advance and Mr. Salmon is wasting my time. If anyone does a wedding through Destination Wedding and they appoint Mr.Salmon as your planner, politely decline because he does not handle his business as a wedding planner. He makes it bad for anyone to want to use Destination Weddings this was a very horrible experience.

Extremely unprofessional experience through destination weddings, from start to finish. We are not even back yet and my travel agent/wedding planner is telling me they are closed for the holidays while we are left in Mexico trying to figure out what happens with return flights. I've asked her multiple times for a phone line or someone to contact (keep in mind she is supposed to be the point of contact for any issues) yet I am being directed to the Sunwing app. An app which is not being monitored. We are waiting over 24 hours at this point for a response from sunwing and have not heard anything back. Now she tells us they are not responsible for accommodation in the event the flight is postponed... We have spent $7k+ on this trip for hotel and accommodation. There have been multiple issues from the planning stage, to boarding our flight, checking in to the hotel and now trying to leave. Operators here are not diligent and do not take pride in their customer service. I will add more details to this review later but I would never recommend this company.

Ughhh I really was hoping for a better experience with using this company. Veronica was the advisor we used. Let me just say how frustrating it has been, she would ONLY respond on emails. Tried to call and left multiple voicemails asking just simple questions. She never answered any of my questions, she always would refer me to the instructions from the website. When I asked her to to break it down to me, she couldn’t even do that.! This has been the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced, Wal-Mart has better customer service then them lol and that should say a lot.. When I had reached out to customer service support about my concerns, that Veronica was not understanding, Veronica automatically sends me an email saying, “I received your message from customer service I’m NOT giving one word answers”. I felt that was unprofessional way of going about my concerns. I stated back, “great I’m glad you got the message of being incompetent”. Someone had to say it. I’m not the only one in my party that has been dealing with issues of her. I would NOT recommend her at all. I can’t believe a company like this would hire a unprofessional, incompetent, passive aggressive employee like her. It make your company look really bad! Get rid of her or train her better! But I always say, “you can’t change a person’s personality, they are who they are”. Do better for crying out loud! And please DO NOT RESPOND(company) to this review, I really don’t care what your response is. There’s nothing you can respond back with that’ll change my mind.

Josephine DiMaggio was my assigned wedding specialist. Literally a joke. Had a conversation with her on the phone about options and everything I was open to. She never followed through and got back to me. It’s been 8 months and she basically ghosted me. So 10/10 do not recommend Josephine DiMaggio. Not sure about the rest of the company but way to go with hiring her.

I have been working with an agent at Destinationweddings since about June 2022 for a 2022 wedding date. Due to the constant response delays I knew it was going to be a difficult experience. I tried to create another profile to be assigned another specialist. However, I imagine because I was already in the system, customer service redirects me back to the same agent. Ever since then it has been THE MOST STRESSFUL wedding planning experience for me. The specialist would go on vacation or be at a conference and does not provide a heads up. I just don’t hear anything until I call and get a voicemail or send an irate email 📧 and cc customer service. Then the specialist has the audacity to say don’t cc customer service. Because the specialist doesn’t skim the contract given by the resort, I’ve had to point out several mistakes in a contract and have it redone. I’ve waited weeks for a response which delays me allowing my guests to receive a save the date. I was told to complete and save my save the date to send to guests. Once I did and realized I still couldn’t send it I was told I had to book my room first. I’ve been told one date for room drops without fees and then received the contract stating something different. Rates went up with an addendum due to the resort misprint. Now the resort has my deposit and my reservation fees and the specialist is at a conference for 8 days with no phone communication! I am still waiting to get the information to send out my save the dates after my follow up email, as my guests are now inquiring and a bit concerned about how to plan for this trip. I am months away from my wedding day and still can’t even get my save the date link from my specialist due to this conference. I wish I had followed my mind and demanded a different wedding specialist. What an experience! I repeat what an awful experience.

Our agent Sian Monk was horrible. She tried to over charge our guess, we never got our upgrade, she was never in office to handle corrections, very hard to reach her by phone, takes very long to answer emails, If you ever get her request someone else...

Horrible experience of you have medical things come up and cannot attend. I was trying to cancel something over a year out that I would be a guest at and they basically trick you with this confusing wording. I then asked for clarification and I was told you get a refund if it’s 65 days before travel. Again, it’s more than a year away and yet I only got half the money back. Be careful when booking as a guest to attend something, they are very active when trying to get you to book ahead of time, but not when you need assistance after paying the deposit. My travel agent planner was Stephanie so beware yallll.

Absolutely terrible service. Took my deposit and then could not supply the room for my sons wedding. Still waiting for my deposit to be returned despite numerous requests. Inefficient at best, fraudulent at worst. Sun Wulf was absolutely terrible and very rude.
