Charlene Barlow was rude and unhelpful. We came to know that we were overcharged for the rooms once we arrived at the hotel in Mexico. I strongly advise you to look for another Wedding agent if you are planning a Wedding or booking a room.

Absolutely the Worst Travel Experience I've Ever Had!
I was recently part of a wedding party that used Destination Weddings to accommodate travel for our best friend's wedding in Aruba and we all had TERRIBLE experiences with them! Issues ranged from not having our block of rooms officially reserved with the resort for several weeks after accepting all of our deposits, to a complete lack of response to people's questions and verifications, to me personally being overcharged by nearly $1,200 and it taking over TWO MONTHS to finally process that refund, which was only processed after multiple follow ups on my end; never once were they proactive in rectifying the error. Our travel agent, Wayde, was passive at best in taking care of these issues (and a flood of other issues - all things that could have been avoided on their end) and relayed no urgency in making anyone feel at ease, that things were taken care of and giving any peace of mind before leaving the country. He was truly awful, and I have been in customer service for many years, so I am not writing this review lightly. When I was FINALLY able to get ahold of someone else to rectify my problem and explained (very nicely) why this had been such a disappointing experience, I never got a response, no apology - nothing! If you're thinking about using this company - DON'T! Of the 30 people that went to this wedding, every single guest had a horror story when talking about their experience with Destination Weddings. Test your luck with another company and be thankful you didn't use this one!

ZERO STARS/ DON'T USE THIS COMPANY
If I could give zero stars, I would. Not only have I had trouble from the beginning of planning my wedding since SEPTEMBER 2022 for a wedding in JULY 2023, I'm still having issues A WEEK BEFORE my wedding. It took forever to get a wedding coordinator from the resort, communication is severely lacking. The wedding coordinator, Veronica Foster, acts like she doesn't know how to do her job as well as Krista Winter. They sent the wrong payment amount with another couple's bank information, including their bank account number, the money THEY paid, and other information for the wrong people. They don't return phone calls, listen to their voicemails, or even bother to look up our account information before replying to their emails regarding our wedding. IT'S NOT THAT HARD, especially since it's been a total of almost 10 months of planning. Everything on our end, including payment, paperwork, documents, were completed and sent over months in advance to ensure these things wouldn't happen. It's officially less than a week before we are to be married and both the resort and destination weddings are still scrambling to get their sh** together!!!! They are still finding last minute things that needed to be done months ago but are just now sending over to us to be done and it's ridiculous. 10/10 WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.

A shorter list would be what went…
A shorter list would be what went right. You were asked several times to have adjoining rooms with our daughter's family. We told you we required a crib. We got neither. We were actually put in separate buildings. We had paid for two suites. After an extremely long wait until late afternoon, we were given two tiny rooms. We had to put the crib in one bathroom and my husband, daughter, son in law and myself shared the other bathroom.
Where were you Mindi? Where was the wedding planner? The bride cried the day of the wedding for all your mistakes

Hi Carol, we regret to hear your frustration and are committed to assisting as best we can. Unfortunately special requests like the ones you mentioned are based on availability and never guaranteed, which is stated throughout our booking process and your invoice. These requests are sent to the resort to fulfill to the best of their ability, and we are sorry to hear they were unable to accommodate your preferences right away. Our Customer Relations Team is happy to speak with you and/or the bride to assist with any outstanding discrepancies. We wish you the best.

Our Travel Coordinator Ghosted Us
We booked our first international family vacation with Destination Travel and have had Julie Vaughn as our travel specialist, and we haven't heard from her despite trying to reach her by email, multiple text messages, and multiple calls. We had communication issue with Julie several months ago and expressed our concerns regarding her communication and asked what the best means of contacting her. It was our hope that things would have improved since then but they didn't. We made our final payment and received a new flight confirmation that showed we'd only have 40 minutes for a transfer to an international flight for 7 adults and 2 children. We have expressed concerns with the limited time for our flight transfer and our concerns have gone ignored. We've attempted to reach Customer Service to change our specialist and hopefully get a new flight, but the only option is to leave a voicemail on their main line and/or send an email. I've done both and we'll see if anyone actually gets back to us, but it hasn't been promising. The goal of using a travel coordinator was to make coordinating our travel as stress-free as possible and that has been the complete opposite of our experience. I know based on this experience I could not recommend Destination Wedding and would recommend using a different company to coordinate your travel plans.

2nd time horrible with Alexandra
My wife and I got married 5 years ago and used destination weddings and got paired with Cori and to say it was the best experience is putting it lightly, she made everything so easy and stress free, fast forward 5 years and my brother in law gets engaged and I tell him to use destination weddings for sure because they were amazing, and this time around with Alexandra is HORRIBLE, she’s slow to get back to you and when she does it’s not the dates you asked for, the prices are all different from other guests and she literally takes weeks, they asked for a new travel agent and they said no and now this, I just want them to have the same experience we had and it’s definitely not that way with Alexandra, hope someone can help

The specialist I have been “dealing” with is Susan Spradlin
The specialist I have been “dealing with” for a few months - Suzanne M. Spradlin has been the most unprofessional and unresponsive in a timely manner “travel agent” I have dealt with in my life. She is extremely hard to reach and if I was looking for a response back from a March inquiry (via email or phone) I would still be waiting.
The final deposit is due and I noticed that the room shows one King Bed. I explicitly asked Susan when the room change was done months ago to make it two beds. Now the week of the final payment is due and I am told that I would have to pay an extra $600 for this change that I requested months ago. Not having a responsive Travel Agent is definitely putting a damper on my impending travel plans.
The most ironic aspect of this experience is I have received countless emails for payment reminders, but barely any from Susan with legitimate questions needing answers. Also Susan’s inability to responded to my repeated request in a timely manner, has forced me to book part of my trip at another resort for my daughter and I. My daughter and I travel all around the world and this experience has been disastrous to say the least.
If this is what dealing with a Travel Agent is, then I want no parts and quite honestly want to cancel my whole trip in its entirety.

Save yourself the stress, use another agent
We are attending a wedding booked through Destination Weddings and it's been a painful process to say the least. I wrote to Destination Weddings directly through their customer service option on the website almost a week ago regarding our concerns but since they don't care to respond, it looks like a review is our best option.
Long story short our entire group was given confirmation emails, receipts and quotes with one flight's information (departure) with no return flight details given. Less than 3 weeks out numerous of us emailed our agent inquiring about our return flights so we could book airport parking, seats etc. but a response to our inquiries was slow to come, with many people waiting over a week. Finally in an email response to everyone in the group (individual emails with other questions are fully ignored), we found out the departure flight we are on, isn't the one from our quotes, receipts or confirmation.
While we all understand flights change, we were never notified that they changed, or even of our arrival flight times, even after booking and paying in full. These are all details we would have had, had we booked ourselves, outside of an agent. But the most frustrating part of this is as it turns out, our group was never booked on the departure flight we were quoted on, the agent just gave us the wrong info from the start. Many people in our group had planned their trip around that flight because we were never told otherwise. There is over an 8 hour difference between the flight we were quoted and our actual flight. As a result people are frantically trying to book hotels the night before, request additional vacation time from their employers and incurring additional costs. This is something we should have never had to deal with if we had just been given the correct information from the start.
And to confirm - the original flight in all of our quotes, receipts and confirmations is scheduled for the same date and time as was communicated to us, this isn't a case of a flight being changed by an airline. The agent just didn't provide the right information (or any information) from the start, and has failed to take ownership or even apologize for the error.
Travel documents were also promised 14-21 days prior to departure, at 11 days out, we just received them.
We booked though Alexandra Koleoglou who never answers emails and her assistant Beverly Cameron who also does not answer emails. Now we have an issue where our Airport Transfer Passes are under someone else's name (we don't even know them) and received an automatic response that Beverly or Alexandra will "hopefully" get back to us within 72 hours but they are really "busy". Maybe they should reduce the amount of clients they take on, if they aren't able to provide an acceptable level of customer service?
Many of us haven't even gotten responses in regards to our inquiries further proving they either don't care or are "too busy". From my understanding this is the experience (unanswered emails, incorrect/inaccurate information) everyone in our group has had, including the bridal party. It feels as though they got our money and they didn't care what happened after. Booking through an agent is supposed to make it easier and relieve stress, this experience has done the exact opposite.
