No real customer service due to staffing issues? Placed an order for 2 Prada men's reading glasses, they did not ship until after the estimated delivery date (not the ship date) and I paid for expedited shipping as well. I called twice and went to a generic answering service, then I messaged twice and emailed once trying to cancel since it didn't ship yet. About 2 days later it shipped and arrived and then took a some time of return and eventual refund. I personally won't shop here again due to the lack of customer service and limited online portal cancelation options. TLDR: way to long to ship, little to no communication.

The frames I ordered came sooner than planned. They were heavy and didn’t look good on me. I contacted the company to get a return label. I emailed, I called and I tried to live chat. The voice mail says no one is available due to staffing issues. No response to live chat, multiple times. I emailed on the web site and from my personal email. No response. I mailed the frames certified receipt requested.

I purchased Flexon frames (Model B2028 001 Black 55MM) from Designer Frames Outlet last October. Due to insurance requirements, I couldn't have my prescription lenses fitted until January — meaning I had worn them for less than one month when the bridge snapped clean off during routine lens cleaning. No excessive force, no accident — just everyday handling of a frame that markets itself on exceptional durability. I contacted DFO to request a repair or replacement, explaining that my insurance won't cover a new pair until January 2027 and that purchasing another pair outright would be a genuine financial hardship. I returned the frames as instructed and waited. And waited. Despite following up multiple times over several weeks, I received no update whatsoever. When I escalated directly to the head of Customer Service, I was told he "does not monitor customer service emails, nor does he contact or respond to customers directly." I was then informed that the sole representative handling my case was absent due to a medical emergency — as if a company of this size has no contingency plan for its customers. I sincerely wish that representative a full recovery. But a business cannot simply go dark on customers with unresolved complaints because one employee is away. These glasses are medically necessary, and weeks of silence is not an acceptable response from any organization that takes customer care seriously. The product failed well within any reasonable expectation of durability. The response from DFO has been non-existent. To anyone considering a purchase — proceed with caution. This experience has upset me so much that to me DFO stands for exactly three things: Dismissive. Failing. Oblivious.

My frames were sent in a month ago, then i get an email two weeks ago saying they couldn’t replace the lens, so i ask to refund me and send my tom fords back. Dead Silence. Nothing!!! They are a fraud and im out of my brand new glasss and the money i paid for them! Do not trust them. Do not send your glasses to them! Learn from me, you will regret it!!!

Order from Jan 26 no response. Email not answered. Phone not answered. Have ordered in the past and they were great. Will not order from them in the future. Needless to say, I will probably not get a refund.

Ordered two pairs of prescription glasses on 1/16/26. The absolute latest estimated delivery date was 2/19/26. The week of 2/10, I requested an order status by email with no response. I attempted to call, but the phone line basically says they do not staff the phone line, and it hangs up. I attempted to chat with no response. Finally, on 2/12/26, I reached someone on their chat line who gave the same song and dance others have received...one set of frames is delayed from the warehouse. This doesn't explain the delay with the other pair. Today I again attempted to contact via chat line, with no response all day. I finally sent a dispute letter to their cs email stating I will file a chargeback request unless I am provided with immediate details regarding shipment. I would like the pairs of properly fulfilled glasses shipped to me immediately ( I am in the same state as the company) OR an immediate full refund. Customers shouldn’t have to work so hard to get in touch with a company. Their lack of a responsive cs team is concerning, to say the very least.

I got my glasses just fine, but the lenses weren't of good quality. They attracted dust, and I could not keep them clean. The lens eventually started to distort, and a scratch appeared within the 30-day window, so I reached out to get the lens remade, but no one has responded. I've emailed, called, and used their chat feature. The phone says they can't answer due to staffing issues. It's been almost a month since I reached out. I filed with the BBB and received no response.

I’ve placed several orders in the past & I’ve been very pleased. Sent in an order 12/7/25 with my RX. It’s now January 7,2026. My order still says “processing” I’ve emailed 2x- they are supposed to get back within 24 hours. Nothing. Just sent something over a chat an hour ago which was to be replied to in 13 minutes. Nothing. Called their number. Recording said they can’t answer due to low staffing, would not allow a message to be left, and said to just email them. But I’ll tell you ONE thing they did. They cashed my check asap. Wow.
