Good: suggesting flip flops for the long walk from drop off area to entrance. Information on attire should be sent out as far in advance as possible as shopping for dresses in pink for Running of the Lillies in support if breast cancer awareness and other dresses or suits for Derby Day take time. Magnificent hats are available in all hotels. No need to “make do” with internet hats. There is a parade 5-7 p m Thurs before @the Lillies”. Streets are all blocked off. Impossible to get to your hotel downtown. Would be nuce to know that so you can have dinner rhen go to your hotel. Pick up from hotel to Churchill Downs stops at 1 p m and resumes at 6 p m. Would be nice to know ahead of time.. or as we did, change to Sandollar transportation so we had more flexibility. We paid twice for the convenience. Finding your ride back to the hotel is a challenge as guards keep herding you away from where you are headed and where your return ride is parked. Pleasant surprise that Embassy suites had a photographer taking pictures at no charge in the lobby. Good to know that the town shuts down all city tours Derby weekend . Don t plan on seeing the university campuses nor the magnificent architectural buildings except in passing. Thete is also an app available so you can bet and order drinks. It is difficult to set up so set it up ahead of your visit.

Parking situation was very sketchy. Prior to purchasing the tickets it should have been disclosed that parking was on somebody’s property and that I had to give up our keys. If I would have known this upfront I would have never parked there. I assumed this was in a safe secure parking lot for the amount of money I purchased the pass for. Also, I had a large amount of tickets therefore I wish the seating boxes were disclosed prior to purchase so that we could get our group together. Our boxes were scattered which did not provide a great experience

We assumed we'd get lanyards as we did 5 years ago. DerbyBox was promoting on social media the "free lanyards" but we didn't get any. Also, 5 years ago, a rep from DerbyBox came to our seats to personally greet us and ask if we needed anything. No such contact this time. I guess spending over $8,000.00 just doesn't get you any customer service.

Very good service with none of the high add on pricing. Ticket was delivered on time and would use again.

We contacted DerbyBox about 9 months before the 2018 Derby to obtain information on seating and purchasing tickets as this was our first trip to the event. We decided to purchase tickets in section 312, row F as it had a clear view of the finish line, even though it was further away. When our tickets arrived they were for section 313, row G. I contacted them about the change of sections and was told they upgraded us to seats that were closer to the finish line. I'm not sure this was a better section to sit in. We may have been closer to the finish line, but our box was next to a post and pipe that blocked the view for some of us in the box. There were so many people in front of us, that the only way I could see the finish line, was to hold my phone up in the air as high as I could and take a video. Row G is further up under the roof, so I could only see the bottom portion of the Video screen in the infield. I think the salespeople at DebyBox should look at the boxes in person to really understand which box would be considered an upgrade. A bit disappointing for the money we spent on 6 tickets. I may use another vendor if we decide to attend again. Maybe one that when you pick the seat, you can get a view of what you will see from that box.

I asked them to hold my tickets to be picked up by a trusted third party to avoid the 30 dollar shipping fee. This was at their direction. They ignored it.

Driver when we were dropped off Friday gave wrong pickup location .. we had to pay for a taxie to get back to hotel.. spoke with her the following day she said she was sorry.. we still had to pay for taxie ride pack to hotel.
