VPS didn't work from China, but support made it right with a full refund
Ireally regret buying from DediRock. I paid around $10 for a Los Angeles VPS after seeing several bloggers and reviewers recommend them. The price looked too good to be true, and unfortunately it was. From day one the server was completely unusable. Every single IP they assigned me timed out — including the test IPs they provided. I tested with multiple tools and the results from China were all red. I never even got the chance to use the VPS once. When I contacted support, they only offered account credit and refused a real refund. After I opened a PayPal dispute (which I lost), they terminated the service entirely, citing their Terms of Service that starting a dispute can lead to termination. So I paid money, received a product that never worked, got no refund, and then had the service cancelled on top of it. It feels like a classic case of “pay us and good luck.” The fact that some influencers and review sites keep promoting them makes it even more frustrating — a lot of people are clearly being led into the same trap I fell into. Cheap is fine. Completely non-functional with zero recourse is not. Save your money and look elsewhere, especially if you’re connecting from China. Update: DediRock issued a full refund after the connectivity issue couldn't be resolved. The VPS didn't work out for my network, but Danny and the support team were responsive throughout and even added $60 in credit for testing. They made it right in the end.

Hey Zoe, I am very sorry to hear about your experience. We genuinely try to do everything we can to make sure our customers have a positive experience. I took a look through your ticket history, and it appears our team made several attempts to resolve the issue by reinstalling your VPS and trying different IP addresses to restore connectivity. Unfortunately, once a payment dispute is opened, we are required to follow our published dispute process. With that said, I would still like the opportunity to help. Please feel free to email me directly at [email protected], and I'll personally review your case to see what I can do. Thank you, and I look forward to hearing from you. — Danny
