It is a very incompetent company. The translator is a native speaker, and did not have any clue about the notary and apostille protocols. The company made an effort three times to correct their mistakes, but still fell short. I spent over $400 for the services that are not accepted by the legal authority. The translator was very defensive when pointed out what was missing. He said, if I paid for additional $, they will add my passport to the POA package. He said, the company has been doing this work for the last 14 years, obviously doing incorrectly. Don't waste your money on this inexperienced company. To follow up further - Today, I confirmed with a notary and Apostille Office. I learned Day Translation did neither notary nor apostilles on the documents. Day Translations put a fancy book store purchased gold seals and slapped them on the documents claiming that the documents have been notarized and apostilled. Wrong! They have misrepresented their work. My recommendation is save your money and work with another experienced company.

Once you respond to me directly and correct the following issues which I directly brought to your attention, I will be happy to reevaluate my position. I was hired to do a zoom interpretation and was sent tons of documents the night before at 9:40 pm on a Sunday night. I was up until 1 am doing those, and then the zoom host did not let me in as the interpreter, so they blamed it on me and did not even bother to give me the min agreed upon payment let alone the work I had gone over and over doing for them the night before. I am extremely disappointed in this company and the run around they gave me which further wasted my time and insulted my intelligence. As an officer of the court, an intelligent professional with a Masters' degree, and a reputable business owner, my coworkers and I will not be working with them until they step up, pay what is owed, and correct the incompetence instead of cover it up, falsely blame it on the interpreter, and give us the run around. I am busy with other clients and will not give them the time of the day.

Before hiring Day Translations, I asked whether the translators were qualified to translate medical documents, I was told they were. Unfortunately, that was not the case. Documents seemed the be translated with Google translate, medical terms were inaccurate or not translated at all. I rejected the translations and provided a list of the major mistakes, which were still not completely corrected after a few attempts. Eventually I was asked to provide a detailed mark-up of the document, which I did not provide because (1) that is the translator's and proofreader's job, (2) I paid over $200 to have that job performed; (3) I did not have the time to provide a line-by-line mark-up to show all the mistakes and inaccuracies. When I requested a refund, customer service referred to their refund policy and established that I would get a $64.99 refund. When asked to provide details as to how they reached that conclusion, they were unable to do so (apart from telling me I did not provide a mark-up, which is not required to obtain a refund, as stated in their refund policy). Disappointed, wasted my time, and had to hire a different translation company to translate my documents.

Day Translations is a horrible company to work for. They take advantage of their freelance linguists. In some cases, they DO NOT PAY their linguists "lying" that the clients complained and they had to refund etc. Linguists are never given the opportunity to fix/edit the work or explain. They took over FOUR THOUSAND dollars this way from me on big projects!! It's a total scam. They try to hire the cheapest linguists and charge clients more, so that they can keep a bigger cut. Honestly, Day Translations is the worst company I came across in my over 25 years of experience as a linguist. Stay away!

I paid 70 dollars for a text to be translated, when I got it back, it was awful, English translation not comprehensible at all > they reviewed for a second time > still just as bad > To try do it myself, I put the text into google translate and got THE EXACT SAME TEXT AS THEY SENT TO ME! Don't waste your energy, time or money :)

I asked for a simple Japanese-English translation of the birth certificate. This company makes ridiculous mistakes, moreover, they left errors uncorrected and made more mistakes in the updated version they claimed they had corrected. This company is not worth the fee I paid. They provided our company with a cancellation the night prior to our deposition. They informed me that they their confirmed interpreter cancel last minute and was trying to find a replacement all weekend. Even with that information on their hand, they failed to inform us that a cancellation was possible, not giving us a chance to seek one at another company. The language requested is extremely rare and we could not find one with such short notice. This company is unprofessional and tried to provide us a 5% discount, should we use them next time. Avoid at all cost!
