Finally got my hands on a Das Keyboard…
Finally got my hands on a Das Keyboard 6 Professional (Cherry MX Blue), and though it's only been a day or so, it's the best-feeling, most satisfying-to-use keyboard I've owned. We'll see about longevity, but so far, so good. My issue is that they gouge you on shipping costs. Got the keyboard, come to find there's no palm rest, so fine, went to their website to find one compatible with the 6 Professional. They seem to have some consistent and persistent stocking issues, so only a refurbished rest was available. $10.99. Cool. Shipping cost? $16.50. Are we being serious? Is it made of solid gold and weighs 55 lbs.? Come on. It's enough to turn you from a fan to an adversary pretty quickly. Still bought it, because I want it, so I'm kind of stuck. Bottom line: I think they make a good keyboard, but they do their customers dirty by gouging them on shipping for little items like a palm rest. Be better, Das Keyboard.
