I'm a chef and I order foie gras aux torchon. It's not a foie gras but a duck mouse and very poor quality product. Purchase 2 of them and just put one in the freezer. I also order Frozen Tuna and came defrost, I call them and they say freeze back. None sense. my invoice number 4376139 on 12-14-23 total invoice $329.45 The quality have change over the years and I will never purchase from theme again. do not be foul by there products.

I have generally enjoyed their products however, I bought some veal chops that were as poor of quality as possible. They were butchered up so badly, I throw them out! I did reach out to them twice and twice- No Response! Yes I have pictures and the package lot number. From this experience, I will never buy any products ever again!! Never!

My brother was kind enough to order from COSTCO, a great company, a $130.00 food package from D'Artagnan. The package was shorted a single item. After 5 emails and 5 phone calls nothing was resolved; a most miserable customer service department in which, no human being can make anything actually happen! "RUN YOU IN CIRCLES" Regarding the actual food, it was OK but nothing spectacular! I looked at their website, I think it is highly over-priced meat products which are visually promoted with software enhanced photos and wordy commentary; the actual food you receive does not live up to the website's visual display and artistry. Shop locally and support your own community. Take a local drive and learn about your neighborhood - yes, the good old days before the on-line invasion. UPDATE: Ok let's be fair - as of today 1/6/23 I received the food items that were missing from the original order. With that said I'll change my rating to a 2 star. Perhaps they mailed the items because I called COSTCO. Well, all is remedied.

It doesnt just smell a lil sour...it legit smells of death. This was rancid BEFORE it froze. The 2 stars is for actually sending the order overnight.

I was a frequent shopper. Usually I would buy a lot when they had a 40% off flash sale as they are so expensive. I purchased their duck breast and found it tough and bitter upon cooking. I assumed it was a quality control issue that they would appreciate learning about. I sent an email with the product ID numbers. They emailed back that the breasts were delivered a few months previously and had been frozen too long. Also added that the time to mail back an unsatisfactory product was only a few days. I accepted this without complaint (was not complaining initially, just informing). I was quite surprised that they then took me off their email list so I never got notification of sales from then on. I found this to be a bit mean spirited. There are plenty of other gourmet food suppliers to order from so I have not missed them. However, to remove a customer of many years from the email list simply because he notified them of a possible quality control issue is very arrogant.
