I love the yarn and hooks! The yarn doesn't really coordinate with itself, and it's not a great yardage for one project. One hook had a rough spot, and it's my favorite anyway.

Normally, my beautiful dgy products arrive quickly. My recent order was a little different. As part of a special deal, I requested skirts in a specific color. When my order was delayed due to overwhelming demand, DGY first offered extra bonus for my inconvenience. Then they updated order status and offered to send an alternate color for faster delivery if I preferred. I choose to wait for the color I wanted. When the skirts arrived, bot were perfect, exactly what I wanted. I could not have chosen better if I had been in the warehouse. Grace under pressure is the lesson of the day. I ordered a three-month subscription to their yarn of the month club, and Darn Good Yarn renewed the subscription at the end of the three-month subscription without my permission for two additional months before I realized it and cancelled I later found out that this was an honest mistake. I originally thought it was a dishonest attempt to squeeze more money out of me, but this company reached out to me and refunded the two months I paid for. I will say they responded quickly to make things right, which means they take their reputation seriously. I applaud Darn Good Yarn and I'm happy to order from them in the future.

Very responsive customer service, and I've been mostly happy with my purchases. Ordering "black box" re colour can sometimes lead to minor disappointment. I have had better satisfaction ordering in one sales where you can view the item. Love the company's sustainable and community development ethos.

I ordered the three skirt bundle, two maxi, one mini and requested my colour preferences. The skirts took some time to arrive and I was pleased with the maxis, beautiful fabrics but the mini was disappointing. I noticed a really unpleasant odour from them when I took them out of the packaging to try them on and wanted to wash my hands after handling them. I decided to wash them all and when wet and hung on the line to dry, I could see the mini was full of snags. I emailed them to complain and was impressed with their response, keep the damaged one and they’d send a fee replacement. I was asked to choose length and colour. The replacement arrived and is really lovely. I love wearing the skirts and feel they’re unique so although the first bundle was smelly and damaged, I can’t fault the customer service! All’s well that ends well.
