The Exel DC Mini I Purchased is everyting I expected, and more. The neck and playability is great! The Duncan "59 pickups and coiltaps on the tone controls, worked like a charm. However I have two things I must bring up.1.The guitar is headstock heavy! The tuning pegs of the Grover Imperials are too large and heavy for this guitar.Gold Grover Mini-Rotormatics with scaled down tuning pegs, would most likely solve the headstock dive problem.2.I wanted to buy the Blonde color Excel, but it came with a layered Spuce top?,instead of flame maple. Why the change? Flame maple would have looked so much better!

I bought a "Premier DC Mini" champagne/sparkle* at GC. And, I really love this instrument ! Pros. Great build quality at this price point*, Attention to details such as fret - work, Materials used for construction. Cons. "Few" accessories to customize the instrument such as: pickguard color options? like gold, silver or cream? Another super complaint hence my 4-star rating. YOU GET A "GIG BAG" with this purchase! NO HARDSHELL CASE TO PROTECT THIS BEAUTIFUL INSTRUMENT! AND, there are none available in the market place. That Sucks! I want a case ! Otherwise, D'Angelico has a fine guitar here and worth the money. Cheers!

Hey Kevin, We're working on extending our available accessories & case options. We currently don't have enough hardshell cases available to list them on our site, but our dealers may have one available or you can try emailing [email protected] and a sales rep can look into availablity at our warehouse.

I ordered and awesome Dangelico Premier Brighton form Brazil and had great experience. The guitar got here really quick and it came right out of the box well intonated and almos in tune. Really impressed me. But I missed the warranty card, infos about the guitar as trust-rod adjustmentes and overall swag. The guitar came just by itself in a beautifull case but with no tag or anything else. Those little things make the experience a lot better. Cheers

I recently purchased a 2015 EX SS. I love the guitar. Beautiful instrument. I decided to buy a couple of tee shorts to show D'Angelico pride. The selection was great and purchase went smoothly. Just a few suggestions. 1) offer replacement and custom parts i.e. nuts, bridges, and pickups without going through the warranty department. 2) have a database with specifications for past year's non-discontinued models. 3) provide a forum or platform for learning jazz guitar. You create such incredible instruments that it's a shame that D'Angelico isn't the go to resource for jazz guitars and music. Bill McQueen

Hey Bill, Thanks for the feedback. We offer select replacement parts on the site. Currently, the other pieces must be provided through our warranty service. All specs on discontinued models, can be found on our website in the discontinued section of our site. You can navigate to this through the footer on our homepage. We'd love to provide our own forum separate from our own social media channels, but unfortunately do not have the means to facilitate that on our site at this time, but you can actively participate in forums on Facebook, Instagram, and various blogs online. Thanks for the suggestions! We appreciate your feedback.

I bought the long stairstep tailpiece for my D'Angelico EXS-1DH to replace the original stairstep that broke at the pivot point due to either a manufacturing defect or too much tension on the oversized strings. The part that attaches to the guitar with 3 screws had only 1 screw line up, so I had to drill 2 holes in the guitar to mount the tailpiece in it's original place. The D"Angelico website does not list a EXS-1DH anymore.

Hi Walter, Thanks for reaching out and our apologies that you had this issue. We discontinued the EX-DH a while ago, and I'm unfamiliar with a "EXS-1DH" Did you reach out to a tech on our team prior to ordering for any assistance with our warranty process?
