I was not informed of the opening hours…
I’m really disappointed with my experience. I wasn’t informed of the opening hours until after I had signed up. In hindsight, I should have used the cooling-off period to cancel, but I genuinely thought I could make the hours work. Unfortunately, the more I’ve tried, the more restrictive I’ve found them. Closing at 7pm and only being open until 11.30am on a Saturday makes this gym feel geared towards people who don’t work. I initially thought I could attend during the day when working from home, but the gym also closes over lunchtime, which makes that difficult too. I also joined based on being told that the instructors would be in the middle of the class. This simply hasn’t been my experience, meaning I’m often left trying to make up my own routine for the cardio elements. If you’re not particularly confident with freestyle exercise, this can be quite frustrating. I’ve also emailed three times to discuss my membership and haven’t received a response, which is disappointing. Overall, I feel I was sold the dream, but the reality hasn’t matched it. 🙃 My advice to anyone considering joining is to look very carefully at the opening hours and make sure they genuinely work for your lifestyle. Also be prepared to freestyle the cardio sections if you’re expecting the instructors to lead from the middle. A real shame, as I wanted to love this gym.
