I don't recommend curology.
1. Their large product is not that large that it should be charged so much.
2. We can't contact them via call so problems that could be solved right away take a few days and they contact you via SMS or email which is inconvenient. Very unuseful.
3. What the heck is the price?? OMG, why are they charging that much?
4. I saw no improvement in my skin when I used trial products. So, I wanted to cancel my subscription. but I got a notification that my card was debited by $127 by curology. So, I tried to cancel that product. But since there is no phone number for a call. I could not. I sent them msg asking to cancel. I got a reply after 4 days. I DO HAVE NO USE OF $127 PRODUCTS. and on top of that, they don't return products.
I would have given them a negative 10-star review if there was that option.
UNSATISFIED and HORRIBLE experience

Scammed me out of over $100
Scammed me out of over $100 and refused to refund me. Beware of this company! I only wanted to buy some retinol and they force you to sign up to their subscription. But they don’t tell you that they will be adding lots of random stuff to it. They then will charge you without notice and won’t refund you for unopened products that you didn’t order. Avoid! Would recommend apostrophe which gives much better service

I'm so sick of price gouging
I'm so sick of price gouging! They've raised prices 2yrs in a row. They say "inflation" but don't specify what exactly has increased to justify the ongoing price increases. I guarantee now that inflation is starting to go down they will NEVER decrease their prices. This feels like a last ditch effort to squeeze as much money out of customer's as they can since the economy is leveling back out.

DO NOT go with the free trial
DO NOT go with the free trial! They will hit your card for $100 on the 30th day with no refund. It's basically a scam.

Refused Refund!
I've never been treated like this before! I feel like I'm being called a liar and it's making me so angry. I thought I cancelled my subscription, but apparently it didn't go through in the system. When I tried to explain, they just told me they couldn't see any record of me cancelling, so they won't refund me. What happened to 'the customer is always right'? It's like they don't believe me, like their system is flawless. But let's be real, every system has glitches. They're making me out to be a liar and taking the little money I have left. I lost my job, that's why I cancelled in the first place. The money they took was for food for me and my kids this week. Even if they did refund me (which they refused to do), I'd still have to wait 7 to 10 business days to get it back. This whole situation has been devastating. They made an already awful situation even worse. I was planning on resubscribing once I found a job, but after this treatment, they couldn't pay me enough to go back. Just a warning to everyone - double check everything because these people don't care about their customers.

shady subscription service
Bit of a shady subscription service. They get you with the "try it for such little money!" schtick. Then they keep shipping you boxes that are filled with what was SUPPOSED to be "free extras." They also don't notify you that this is happening until the box has shipped and it is too late to cancel.

I used Curology twice over 4 years, both times completely unsatisfied.
I’ve tried to use Curology twice over the years, once back in 2019-2020, and again from 2023-2024. Both times I had unsatisfactory results, and terrible customer service.
Let me start by saying the Curology formulas are not customizable, that is a myth. They have a handful of different prescriptions they use, so in reality there are only a few prescription combinations you can get, all the while telling you it’s “customized to your skin”. Both of the prescriptions I used (2019 and 2023) were almost exactly the same, even though I addressed different skin concerns each time (oily-ness, acne breakouts and skin tone the first time, and dryness, hormonal breakouts and skin texture the second). Those are very different scenarios, but I was still prescribed almost identical formulas.
The first time I used Curology, it broke me out pretty bad while I was already experiencing acne breakouts. I panicked, but all of the reviews and the instructions said to wait as this tends to happen initially. So I waited about 2 months before I saw the breakout start to go away. However, my skin still felt oily yet unmoisturized, and my original acne I started with would not go away. I used that formula for about 8 months before I gave up, not seeing any further progress.
The second time I used Curology, I addressed different skin concerns, as my skin has changed a lot in 4 years. I no longer struggle with acne but instead hormonal breakouts, dry skin and old acne scars. However the formula I received is almost exactly the same. “Zinc pyrithione, clindanycin, and niacinamide”. The only difference is the percentages of each medication. And I had the exact same results: initial break out, then once that dissipated I was left with the exact skin I had when I started. The only thing different this time is that they sent me a moisturizer, which wasn’t the best I’ve tried but it was thick and hydrating which I liked. However there are far better ones I’ve used from drugstores: Cetaphil’s deep hydrating moisturizer is my current favorite. I used this prescription for about 4 months, then used it on and off again a couple times a week, and then gave up again.
As for the customer service, it was definitely on the low end of customer experiences I’ve had. I reached out over text as that is a customer service option they offer, and the service agent I talked to I’m almost convinced was an AI chat bot. Completely unhelpful and detached, and completely ignored my issue and instead kept trying to send me a credit to cover my next box, even though I explained I would rather just cancel my account completely. Mind you, the credit he put into my account doesn’t even cover shipping.
That’s another thing: Curology is wayyyy too expensive. At least four years ago it wasn’t as bad: about $20 for a box, and $5 or $6 for shipping. Now, just a box for one prescription is $39.99, not including shipping.
To anyone out there looking to try Curology: don’t. It really is not worth it. My skin is doing well now, and it’s because I did extensive research on my skin needs and found affordable, simple products that work wonders for my skin. It may take more time than filling out Curology’s “customizing quiz”, but it is worth it by far. There are great YouTube videos out there that break down your specific skin needs if you’re not sure where to start. I’d avoid the influencer-type ones though, they’re usually not legit/trying to sell you something.
Sorry this is so long, but moral of the story here is: Don’t Use Curology.

Just go to a normal store.
To be honest this company looks great on the outside and work like every other skin care product out there. However they over charge by 100% in the beginning of my subscription they were fairly priced but then they charged me $185.95 and I was like what the actual he**. Over all save your money and just go to a in person store and get your products or if you’re in love with the company they now sell there full line at target. (Which also peeved me when they charge $20 for a cleaner but in target it’s only $15)
