Beware: canceling your subscription is a hassle..
I ordered my first trial of curology several months ago and I used it every day and I didn’t really love it, I didn’t notice a change in my skin. Since the product is so expensive and I was seeing results, I messaged the company to cancel my subscription (after I got my second box) to which they replied that they would. Now, a couple months after I canceled my subscription I see a charge for $113 from them and another box came a couple days later. I open my account and it says “would you like to resume your subscription?” So I message the company because I thought they had cancelled my subscription when I asked them to. They said they would make sure it was canceled but that they couldn’t give me a refund even tho they are the ones who didn’t cancel my subscription the first time I told them to.

Allergic to Formula; Ruined my Face
I am giving a two based on the fact I only spent 5 dollars for the free trial to see if it worked for me. I don't have bad acne a few pimples here and there and then mostly uneven textured skin a bit and some redness. The custom formula ruined the skin on my forehead in particular as well as the rest of my face. It make me get a rash very badly and the skin started to peel. So I had an allergic reaction to it. I had to stop it immediately and haven't been able to get it back to normal yet and its been two weeks since. The cleanser and the moisturizer feel nice however I didn't think there was a difference between them and other products I've used. I even told them that I have sensitive skin in the consult and still the formula did not work for me. If you have sensitive skin this product is not for you.

I will give Curology two stars instead…
I will give Curology two stars instead of one because their actual physical products are pretty good. They are as good or better as what you can get at the store for similar prices for the most part, and of course the prescription creams you cannot get at the store.
I give them two stars for their unethical business practices and customer service. Curology is unfortunately subscription based.
Has the time for these subscription-based services, especially the ones that send you physical products, not come for them to give you some kind of warning, if not actually requiring your permission, to bill and send out products?
If you are a working-class adult, student, or even struggling middle-class person, this is an affordable option for comprehensive skincare - but the catch is that they will relentlessly bill your card when the time comes. It doesn't matter if it takes food out of your or your children's mouths that month, you have too much product, forgot to cancel, want to delay, or any combination of reasons. There is no warning. Just the looming date, on top of everything else a person has to remember, of their billing you to send out more product than you probably need. They, as of this writing, have no option for on-demand ordering. You can only delay it by a month.
I suspect that much of their money is made by billing people for products they do not need by using this model - a similar model to many other unethical subscription-based companies. When they bill you, you do not have a chance to cancel it as they quite literally ship out later that same day and their customer service does not reply to you until the next day or later. Even if you can get ahold of their customer service, the product is compounded in a pharmacy so has no direct connection to the customer service team for them to cancel it.
By the number of people they must bill and who want to delay or cancel the shipment, they could have fixed this long ago with an email warning, giving an on-demand option, having a delay between billing and shipping, or any combination of things to prevent taking money from people who cannot afford it or do not need product - but they have chosen not to.
If you need skincare and cannot afford real in-person dermatology tread carefully here.

I loved my formula BUT
I loved my formula BUT, as many others have stated, there is not enough product in any of the bottles to last throughout the period they say it should last. Unfortunately, I'm seeing these complaints go back 3 years so it doesn't look like the company is concerned about this. Even with this, my main issue is actually the shipping window and not having any options if something happens and you do need more product.
I received my trial shipment on 7/12 and started using it that night. Went through the purge and then started seeing great results. I was worried about running out of cleanser/moisturizer, so I've been using the Curology items only at night and my La Roche-Posay in the morning. I went to use my prescription last night (day 22) and had to use a q-tip to get enough for my face because the bottle is empty. Estimated delivery for my next shipment is 8/17 if it ships tomorrow (8/5), which leaves me without product for 13 days. I was going to just renew and take the financial hit, knowing I'll have to order early each time...I really do like the product, but a 12 day shipping window is too much and there isn't an option to expedite. It makes me very uneasy to know that if something happens and I need a new bottle, it will be up to a two week wait.😬

Not a fan of this company at all
Not a fan of this company at all. They are not responsive to emails/texts. They do not have a direct customer phone line either. I was charged for products that I never received! I did cancel this subscription because their prescription was not affective for my acne. I was a customer for 6 months, not effective at all. You’re better off going to your family doctor to get a prescription for Retin-A/Tretinoin or Clindamycin TBH. It would be cheaper with GoodRX and your prescription will last longer… and if you’re prone to acne breakouts it’s most likely hormonal. Go to a real doctor.
