This company website kind of popped up during my search for airline tickets. They had decent prices and I booked. Immediately upon funds leaving my account (I know this because I was talking to the bank to stop the purchase at the time) they sent an email claiming they had attempted to contact me multiple times and please call them due to urgent action needed. At that point, I was told by the agent at the very start of our conversation, that the booking was non-refundable. A point he would make several times. Finally I was directed to a supervisor, ostensibly to see what dates were available (he said within 6 days of my selection) to fly. The supervisor gave me a date of about a month after my dates OR...pay about $1,000 to them for the ticket price difference. THEN, they go on to say that ALL their flights are discounted and therefore NONE of them are eligible for refund. It should be noted that the agents repeatedly claimed incorrectly that the site claimed all dates were flexible and that it was clear that I would likely need to travel on dates other than those I selected. Nope. Now I am struggling to get the charges reversed. Fixed income, no problem, they'll take your money. They then sent me confirmation for a flight 3 months out. 3 MONTHS!!! UPDATE: I have filed a report with the FBI's Internet Crime Division. I suggest all of you do the same. My complaint ID is ec404ea2fbe74ad1ac5972334b064416. This is a criminal activity. This is fraud. Period. At the time of this update, my flight has been cancelled(as if it was ever actually booked) and I am on hold after being denied a refund and being hung up on multiple times. File a complaint with the FBI and get this website taken down.

Purchased a discounted flight online. Was charged for the flight. Never received the e-ticket, but did receive confirmation of flight purchase. Called and was told that there weren't any discount seats available for the flight purchased. They wouldn't refund my money, even though there weren't any discount seats available. Then they offered for me to pay the difference a full price ticket for the desired flight that was more than purchasing the ticket directly from the airline. It's a scam! The company is misleading people into thinking they can get a flight for a huge discount, then tells you you have to wait 24 hours for a discount seat to be available. Definitely, do not use them for unplanned or emergency flights!

I wish I could give them less than Zero star. The Crownfares website is just a scam!!!!! Do not get tricked by the low price of tickets when you are booking. These people have to be arrested as they are doing fraud. I hope they get reported and they get punished for their fraudulent actions of stealing people’s money. I booked two tickets with them on line. After an hour, they called that we can not accommodate your requested dates and airport, and you have to pay $500 more for each tickets. Total with whatever I paid first, the ticket would cost me double than the main airlines. They kept forcing me to pay more, and they can not refund my payment. They said I have to pay another $90 then they will refund part of money. They passed phone to each other, calling themselves as manager/ booking representative and all these lies. There were absolutely no where saying about fare subject to increases when I was booking and paying at the first place.Apparently, they wait until you finish your payment, then they put in their confirmation email that the fares are subject to change. This is the highest level of dishonesty and fraud. Please don’t book any single ticket with Crownfares. They are scammers. I lost my hard earned money to these thieves. This is very unacceptable. I want my money back. They are in India. The address they have in the website is a fake one. My on line ticket booking turned to a very stressful and upsetting experience which a bunch of scammers put me through in it.

If there were an option to give zero stars, I would give them zero. Be very careful before booking a ticket with this company. In my experience, once you book and pay, you can lose your money. They changed the date of my ticket without my agreement, and I was left not knowing when I was supposed to travel. When I contacted them and asked for help, they simply told me, “It’s in the terms and conditions.” This was a terrible and frustrating experience. I feel like I was scammed, and I would not recommend this company to anyone.

If I could give this absolute joke of a company a zero-star rating, I would do it in a heartbeat! Crownfares (and Farecrown) is a complete and total rip-off! They reel you in with a low price, you book your dates, and then they pull the ultimate, infuriating bait-and-switch. Out of nowhere, they call you back claiming the airline "can't accommodate" those dates anymore. Then comes the trap: they try to force you into other dates while doubling the original price! It is an absolute scam designed to hold your travel plans hostage. Do not—I say DO NOT—go to their website under any circumstances! Save yourself the rage and stay far away from these fraudsters.

Just so everyone knows they suck, they give you one price for a ticket and then they text you the itinerary just to come back the next couple of hours and tell you that there’s a problem and when you call you have to upgrade and upgrade and it cost you double or triple the money. Don’t ever ever go through this app they don’t change anything, they don’t help you, they don’t refund you, the only choice you have with them is to upgrade the minute you called get ready to upgrade and add triple what you already paid.

It is a complete bait and switch. Booked the flight got the booking reference number which was only an in-house number. Wanted me to pay $500 additional for my flight. To be waitlisted without disclosure. Was on the phone for hours trying to clear up. They want to me to pay for cancellation when they couldn't get me on the flight. Don't do it

They called and tried to upsell me. Then, after receiving confirmation, changed the flight from direct to one stop.
