Chase Card Customer Service Sucks
I have a United card which I love. Unfortunately, it was compromised. I spend most of the year on a boat out of the country and check my card activity almost daily. I noticed more than $1500 in bogus charges, called Chase and was told replacement cards would be sent. 4 weeks later and four attempts to replace the cards = FAIL. First set were cancelled because Chase failed to reverse one of the fraudulent charges, second was "return to sender," third was sent to France (I'm in French Polynesia). I had the fourth sent to Oregon and am paying $150 to a business here to receive them on my behalf. Chase uses UPS, a poor choice for international shipping. Offshore operator conduct and service is erratic at best with some bordering on the edge of scary. I had a longish conversation with an offshore supervisor who was dismissive, rude and condescending which resulted in zero resolution. In the meantime, I'm still waiting for my replacement cards. I understand a global company with 400,000 employees and contractors doesn't care about one senior citizen stranded in a foreign country, but this is elder abuse!
