I worked for one in Tucson, AZ for only a couple months. Horrible place to work. Not only did they not pay me for my 40 hours of training and watching videos, it was incredibly hostile and unhealthy for your well being. I’d been told by others but thought maybe they just wanted harder workers. Next time I’ll listen to everyone’s opinion.

I’m based in Florida and travel the country in our Rv. We stop at Cracker Barrel every night after a long day of traveling at just about state from coast to coast. In the last month it is very difficult to see how terrible it’s been. Both dinners and breakfast are cold food, missing items, bad service, rude cashiers, managers not honoring deals on my app, rude management, no management, tables left full of dirty dishes nearly an hour after customers leave, beverage machines out of order because no one will come out to fix it(like because the vender isn’t getting paid), I can go on and on. The proof is easy to see, parking lots are nearly empty. It’s actually rare to have a great meal without issues and we let them know how great that store is.

Horrible and all because of their stupid rewards. All we did was eat a meal and were in line to leave and waited an unreasonable time while the customer before us got the upsale and was signed up for rewards. This is ridiculous and rude. Keep this crap up and I will start eating at one of our local mom/pop restaurants. Checking out at Cracker Barrel is like going through a gauntlet. Rewards, survey, tips, do you want candy? i hate it.

A fantastic Restaurant and Shop. I really enjoyed the food and most of all shopping in Cracker Barrel. The rocking chair made my day

I have been going to cracker Barrel restaurants since the 80s, we planned our trips around Cracker Barrel because he always had great food but the day I eat a Elizabethtown Kentucky and his worst godless meal I’ve ever eaten at Cracker Barrel. Don’t know what’s wrong with the 93 year-old owner needs to go back to the basics good food good service. He’s got charge a little more that’s fine. Put the biscuits in the jelly back on the tables when you get there. Serve some hot coffee, water milk whatever have great food and great service and charge what it needs to be charged because that’s why Cracker Barrel‘s about leave the pot and fans and grandma‘s picture and grandpa‘s pictures up. Don’t take them down. Don’t replace them. That’s my review that God awful meal Review

09/12/2025 -- I am writing this review on today's date, but it is one of those I really wished I had taken a picture. Yes, I agree that the quality of the food has gone down over the years, but so has the service. They make excellent chicken and dumplings in my opinion and you can also get one or two sides with your order. It has been a couple of months now and I have not been back since, but when the server brought my order to the table, I asked him, "What is this?" He asked me, " If I ordered the chicken and dumplings?" I responded yes, but the green beans are supposed to be a side dish like the fried apples. He honestly looked bewildered. Instead of the green beans being placed in a separate small bowl on the side like the fried apples, the green beans had been dumped in the same bowl with the chicken and dumplings. Whew!! I had the young server take it back and I left.
