I am very confused by this cold call
I am very confused by this cold call I got. the sales rep did an OK job explaining what was covered and how it worked, but when I pushed back about having any kind of written agreement or quote showing the costs, he said "anything over the phone is legally binding" and was quite dismissive and rude when I had specific questions and I wouldn't "sign right now for this only today promotional deal." Why cant you send me the policy? why cant you send me the costs? Phone calls are not legally binding. I get the sales reps are pushed to make sales, but being pushy and dismissive and rude doesn't exactly give me confidence that CoverageX is any different than the 50 spam calls I receive about aftermarket warranties/insurance. His claim that he can't send written pricing "because it's legally binding" is either: A. Bullshit — He's deflecting because he doesn't want a paper trail of promises that don't match the actual contract B. Nonsense policy — CoverageX deliberately avoids written quotes so there's no evidence of what was promised
