Once again, fraudulent charges with no warning. We give them our account details and they charge us without adequately alerting us. I will cancel my account, blacklist all further dealings, and I am reporting to BBB and every other website I can.

Anyone, women especially, thinking about using Couchsurfing should have serious concerns about safety and the ‘verification’ process. Please listen to a podcast called Verified detailing how an Italian police officer got away with using Couchsurfing to drug and rape innumerable young women over a more than 2 year period.

Just signed up in their web site. Asks visa card number for "verification". Got an email saying $79 receipt. What a crook company. No place saying I have to pay for membership. AVOID!

even after being a paid member , the customer service team is not at all of any work. they dont reply to mail and issues put forward to them. they just ignore members. i haven't seen any app which has such useless customer service team. their is no use being verified and making payment , its better to avoid such thug app sites

This bunch of crooks asked me to verify my account using a card and billed 47 GBP.. verification is NOT subscription. Now they are not responding. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

If you are female young up to 40 and you think someone who has 100-200 refs is safe to meet in public space... In my case at least, it was not only NOT safe, but he hit me when I denied spending the night at his ''luxury flat''. Stay away, if you are woman but also a man living alone and vulnerable to be targeted by cs members. Many with a lot of refs and who seem 'safe to meet up BUT ARENT SAFE AT ALL. THey just play by some social rules and make sure they are nice but when they meet a vulnerable person, a woman living obviously alone and is unmarried or a man who is alone, they will harass and do as much crime as the law allows them without getting caught. Its weird that many rape cases in Couchsurfing ,the rapist has many good references. So their ''safety '' system of references is poignant.

Salut, je viens d'ouvrir le site et je me dis naivement je vais vérifier mon compte avec ma carte bleue, marqué en grisé 52€ pour vérifier votre compte à vie, je me dis c'est une option, que neni, le site couche surfing débite directement sans coup fait rire 52€, ni autorisation de prélévement. Je confirme donc une pratique de scam frauduleuse. Je leur ai demandé le remboursement, la confiance ne s'achète pas, ça se saurait.

I have had a trip to meet people in a certain town in Canada. I met many cough surfers. They are friendly to meet, but if you accept to live with them, it can be like walking into a lions gap! They can write anything about you in a review after, and they don.t say clearly what rules they have. When I now just read about mess and unclearness about payment also- I will stay deactivate it. It is NOT worth it-
