CouchsurfingReviews of couchsurfing.com

I was banned without any reason at all, without warning and forever. I had a lot of invitations and contacts there, they refused even to give me copy of my information. Couchsurfing was grabbed by criminal gang with mercenary motives, who actually destroyed Couchsurfing and pushed out people who created Couchsurfing.

attention, je vous confirme que le site est devenu une arnaque. il manipule le visiteur. Je pensais vérifier mon compte par carte bancaire et j'ai été prélevé de 56€ sans avertissement. je vais demander de contester à ma banque la transaction.

After 13 years and more than 300 positive comments thay closed my account without any means to defense..

locked out of my account CS! what for!?! Please sign up at Couchers.org

They closed my account without giving any reason. They took my money and they didn't respond to my dozens of emails. I had a lot of references and wasted a lot of time. It's just a money pit. Damn you.they are thief.be carefull for no reason the time and money you spend may be wasted.and this is a high possbility.

I want an answer. Otherwise I will contact the credit card company and cancel for fraud. I signed up for almost a week. And no response. I sent prints, transaction id, my data and so far nothing.

Since 2009 I was on couchsurfing. Last year I decided to abandon this platform after having hosted in my home in Mallorca lots of people from all over the world. And I still keep in touch with almost everyone. But already before the pandemic the requests I was receiving were looking for a hotel room for free stay rather than friendship or cultural exchange purposes. I was asked by someone if I had hot water and whether they were given towels and all that crap because they were a group of friends coming and how many I could host at one time. I politely sent them to a hotel in Palma. I am not a receptionist sitting at a front desk. I will gladly host anyone who would like to meet me and I am so happy I joined CS in the good old times when true friendships would take place. It was so much fun and we would end up travelling together to New Zealand or Asia. Now everything is ruined because they became greedy for money. It became like if Google asks you for money or Twitter or Instagram. Absolutely ridiculous!!

This is a scam. They took $66 off my account ( R1050) as a "verification " amount. They teicked me into thinking I was verifying my account and then deducted this money as a " life time subscription " This was not advertising or stated anywhere before they took my money. I emailed me and they refuse to give my money back. That is theft. It is trickery. I am so mad. I am an unemployed South African who cannot affort this . They will probably ban me from the site after seeing this review anyway. Stay away from these sh*ts. Now a concern I have is how do I know they will not steal money from my card again in the name of something else?
