It's a fraud. They charge you for verification without your knowledge.

Seems to be the same as everyone else. Disgraceful company. I didn't know I was signing up for a lifetime membership at all. Or I was going to be charged. They charged me £54 odd and after a couple of emails back and forth they refuse to refund me despite it being a genuine error. They have now taken to ignoring me. I asked to speak to a manager but they ignored me. They weren't sympathetic. Quite robotic in response. Like off a script Appalling company Have no respect for them now whatsoever. No decent, honourable company would operate in this manner.

Same story. I used it years and years ago and wanted to use it again but charged me 56eur which wasn’t authorised from my end. I’ll get in touch with my bank to charge it back. I contacted cs already but they won’t refund you. It’s unbelievable that they are still “active”

I have not even open the app in years and somehow they charged money from my credit card :/ how?

Couchsurfing in making unauthorised transaction, deducting the money from your account without any notice or asking you if you agree to pay the subscription. They ask you to give your bank card data to verify your account and then without your agreement take 60 dollars from your card. This is criminal.

I found the webpage so hard to use. I had just created a new account, and paid a fair ammount for a subscription for one year, partly to be kind and partly because the payment wall did not seem to disappear no matter what I did. So I had made a payment, and at least I did not expect there to be any more withdrawals during the creation of my profile. Stupid I was, I clicked on a link I had reciewed in my mail box, to make a "verification" of my profile. Without getting any clear information about it, I was about to pay 690 NOK for the "Verification" of my profile. As this wan`t enough, I still wasn`t able to search for hosts and places to go, or even set up my profile properly. I found their webpage almost impossible to use, and I felt that I really did pay for NOTHING. I strongly don`t recommend to pay for anything at this webpage, they don`t make any refunds after May 14th 2020 if you are charged!!

Même expérience que beaucoup de gens, j’ai payé 56€ sans le vouloir (l’app est faite de manière à ce que l’on clique pour s’informer et bim c’est payé avec apple ID par exemple sans avoir le temps de réagir) et impossible de se faire rembourser. Et je n’ai meme plus accès à l’application!! Il faudrait que je re paye a nouveau! Sans parler de l’application qui est ultra mal foutue… Je pense contacter un organisme de consommateur car leurs pratiques sont plus que limites!
