Was surprised to see that Manager was unaware that you could second source Tansmission lines from Auto Zone , Advanced , NAPA etc.. said that he just always uses the dealer. Well thats nice if you dont have to be worried about being on a budget. Then when i brought the truck in we spoke at lenght about the Deten or kickdown cable being broken and dissconnected. he told me that fixing that would be part of repairing the transmission stating, "When i rebuild a transmission it gets all of that new." I remember this specifically because i even entertained having them install a trans i found on marketplace and he told me that it wouldnt come with it. The most upsetting part of the experiance was that i had asked him what would the worst case scenerio about the price. Now i know he cant see the future but to quote me 2500, then to come at me with 2800 plus the 300 the dealer wanted for their hoses, I was upset. Thankfully i got the hoses from Auto zone for 50 bucks and they put them in for free and lowered the price to 2600.

My speedometer stopped working at 65 mph. Then my transmission wouldn't engage and made a terrible noise. Cottman analyzed the problem, replaced input and output sensors on transy and it's worked fine since. They got to it quick and fixed it for a fair price. Highly recommend.

I want to say that I was very disappointed when my regular mechanic of many years (Mosier's in Jeffersonville) unexpectedly closed shop last year! This was a place I trusted! As a woman, we often get taken advantage of when it comes to our car, because so many of us know nothing about them. I actually know quite a bit about cars and take very good care of mine! For a year, I've tried to find a place to take my car to so that I could have work done on the transmission. I went to 7, maybe 8 different places and each one was the same. Especially with the amount of miles that I have on my car(over 800,000). I had been given estimates up to 5,400. Then, I took my car to Cottman to see what they had to say. They were very quick to look at my car and get back to me! There was no run around, no BS, and no price gauging! They even commented on my car being in great shape despite the excessive amount of miles! The amount of work that they did, in the time that they did, and for the price that they did, all I can say is "I have finally found the auto shop that I was looking for! One that I can trust!". I recommend Cottman to everyone who needs a good set of mechanics!!! Thank you to everyone there! I also want to say that the lady at the desk is awesome! She along with everyone there made me feel very welcomed!
