Issues started with my first attempt at Ordering. Had a full receipt, and a set delivery date they’d arrived at a Sunglass Hut for in store pick-up. Go in day after delivery date. Not there. Waited a week and went back. No record of my order. Called costa. Nightmare process, said they never created my order. Had to start all over. Meanwhile it has been 4 weeks since my order. Just got the sunglasses and don’t love them. They are very heavy. Heavier than any other pair I own(weighed them on digital baking scale). I know they’ll sleep off my face when I sweat. I don’t feel like the measurements are accurate compared to my other glasses and the measurements that company has on their site. Wish I read more of these reviews before spending the $400.

I love Costa products and have used them for years, BUT I recently tried ordering prescription sunglasses and it has turned into such a hassle I almost went to a different company had they not given me 20% off for their mistakes. The first time they said they cant make my prescription in glass and i need to reorder them in plastic. Then they couldnt make my prescription in the plastic lenses for the glasses i wanted. BEWARE prescription sunglasses can only be made for certain models of sunglasses and depending on prescription can only be made in plastic or glass lenses. They should fix this issue ASAP by showing what they can offer based on your prescription. I think this will be the last time i order from here now looking for other brands.

Good style, light weight, and comfortable. But I have never had a pair of glasses so fragile. One small drop and there's a crack in the lense. I am on my warranty pair currently so this is my second pair of Ballast that have cracked after a small drop on the hardwood floor. You would figure if you payed $150+ for glasses they would be a bit more durable.

*update* after resubmitting the warranty claim, it was approved and they are fixing the glasses. After less than a year my Rinconcito frames broke in half while wearing them on a cold day. I contacted Costa and the warranty was denied, contacted CS and was offered a coupon. Product was great until the literally broke in half because a material defect. Extremely disappointing in the warranty process for what USED to be a great company. Never again.

I contacted Costa because I had been hit with a ball, and the frame around one lens cracked and would no longer hold it in place. I chatted with customer service and told them. I hoped they would send an over-run frame, or even a defect. The automatic responses didn't go that way, they just go down routine responses regardless of what you say. So, they offered a discount to buy a new pair. I had good arms and lenses; I just needed a piece, which I would happily pay for if it were reasonable. But 150+ dollars more on another pair? When the feedback option came, I was disappointed. It didn't seem like real customer service, just a boiler plate process to appease complaints. My feedback reflected that feeling. Then, they sent a code offering a pair for free. Honestly, it still wasn't what I wanted, but I took it because free is free and it allowed me to get a style I liked better. Costas are the best sunglasses in the world, just wish they had a broader spectrum of customer service.

I ordered a pair of Tuna Alley Pros and really want to love them but can’t. Negatives: The glasses have a very small, sharp, leftover ridge from the plastic mold in the nose bridge area that makes them extremely uncomfortable. I think I will be able to trim it off with a razor but have not tried yet because I’m scared to damage them. Postives: Light weight. Excellent optical clarity. Excellent polarization. Great offshore glasses in that respect. Vents have a noticeable effect for allowing air flow over eyes in hot conditions. Overall the very small ridge of sharp plastic left over in the nose bridge gripper is a major detractor and I would be hesitant to order these costas again. It’s a little surprising from such an expensive set of glasses and I’ve never had a similar issue with older costas or my glasses from other companies.
