Two coffees at Costa Coffee Chieveley Service Station cost over £10. Pure greed. Totally unacceptable behaviour but part of a disturbing and growing trend in Britain where food and drink cost an arm and a leg. These places should be boycotted and governments should force them to reduce their prices. Sadly just the tip of an iceberg that illustrates greed and profiteering. Shameful.

I visit the drive through at Clacket Lane M25 clockwise once a week and lately the service has deteriorated and many unavailable items. Today, at 1 PM the girl who took the order was not overhelpful nor polite. The croissant was hard and tough, the panini was uncooked and I was given the wrong coffee. Very disappointing and unsatisfactory

Today was in the Knutsford Cheshire Costa. Absolutely delightful. Clean, shop with very friendly staff. All the tables and chairs arranged pleasantly with plenty of room. Yesterday I was in my local Costa in Prestwich Manchester. Complete opposite. Dirty and unfriendly staff. Nothing cleaned away from previous customers. Only went to meet a friend. Never again. Are they franchise owned? Such a difference. Well done Knutsford!!

We visited the Cheshire Oaks branch, just to have a coffee break, a really bad idea! cigarette stumps all over the outside seating area (obviously been there for some time) dirty tables, mostly covered with uncollected cups/plates etc, waited over 15 minutes to collect two cups of iced latte! which tasted like dishwater. Over £ 9.00 for two cups of slop in a grotty establishment!! Won't be returning.

Frankly disappointing, they are increase store opening hours while cutting hours for staff, forcing staff to work longer, while also failing to provide a buffer for sickness which is rampant. They don’t pay anywhere near enough to entice new workers in, meaning that the staff that are working are going without legally required breaks, those who are legally limited by hours(due to age) are working more than they are allowed, and they don’t pay OT, which screws over the staff when the store is left in a mess and requires time, that’s not allowed, to clean to an acceptable standard. Frankly the miss management and constant push for to get more for less out of their workers is going to cause the company to implode if they are not careful. They provide negligible training to store managers, meaning they are constantly fighting with a helpdesk to get anything done.

Chislehurst Costa coffee staff are not very friendly..despite my best attempt at getting them to Smile ,,,,being sociable etc ... Customer service very poor refusing to assist with the APP problems or assisting with carrying food or trays . ... One member of staff should so loudly I could not concentrate on my work . Not good overall.

Getting a flat white at any of the Bolton Costa Coffee branches is a gamble since Coca-Cola took over. I have a look at who is at the machine and order accordingly. I believe the staff does train on-site as they get along. Not a good policy. You can tell why Costa was successful prior to the takeover. Shame on the new management.
