The two people I have dealt with have been great. However, I had started reading some of the contractor regulations on my states regulation page before taking your courses. I reported this to your company, now I’m a little concerned there is incorrect information I am learning from your course. I called the state Dept of Occupational Regulation and they stated the information on their site is accurate and not what is in two of your courses.
Response from Contractor Training CenterOct 24, 2025
Thank you for sharing your concern—and for noting the positive interactions you’ve had with our team. We’d like to clarify how Virginia DPOR oversight applies to each of our offerings. • 8-Hour Pre-License Course: This course is mandatory for Class A, B, or C applicants and is regulated by DPOR. Contractor Training Center appears on DPOR’s approved-provider roster, and the content you receive has been reviewed and accepted by the state. • Class A/B Exam-Prep Course: This optional study program is not regulated by DPOR because it isn’t a licensing requirement. It focuses on practice questions and test-taking strategy rather than serving as an official rules course. For that reason, some wording may differ from the exact language found on the DPOR site, but the pre-license course (the one DPOR reviews) follows state regulations exactly. If you’ve spotted a specific discrepancy in the 8-hour pre-license material, please email the slide or page number to [email protected] or call 888-858-7350 so our curriculum team can verify and correct it immediately. We update the course whenever DPOR releases changes and appreciate your help in keeping the material perfectly aligned. We hope this clears up the distinction between the two courses and reassures you that the state-regulated portion is fully approved. Please reach out with any other questions—we’re here to make sure you feel confident in the information you’re learning. —Contractor Training Center
