Constantly over charging residents
Constantly over charging residents, GA power is not charging other residents of other complexes with the same amount of usage and square footage the amount that they charge my complex.

I absolutely hate that my apartment complex is using Conservice. My utilities have increased significantly over the past 6 months. My electricity bill is $236.00 this month from $64.00 last month. I live in a 1-bedroom apartment with my spouse. No kids, no pets, no portable AC or heater. We both are gone all day and turn off the lights when we leave. They claimed there was an interruption in meter readings and did an estimate. that is for two months apparently. I am furious. I can't get meter reading for the last 6 months. I'm having to worry about paying an extra 200 bucks on top of my rent and other utilities. If you look them up, they have ongoing lawsuits in other states about their billing practices and fraudulent charges.

I am extremely dissatisfied with Conservice and the way utility billing has been handled at my leasing community. I have lived at the same property for over three years, and before management required residents to use Conservice, my electric bill was never higher than $150 per month. Since January, after being forced into this third-party billing system, my monthly electric bill has consistently been over $230. Nothing significant has changed in my household or energy usage to justify such a drastic increase, yet the charges continue month after month. What makes this even more frustrating is the lack of transparency. As a resident, I should be able to clearly understand why my costs have increased so dramatically. Instead, it feels like I'm being overcharged without sufficient explanation. Over the course of a year, these excessive charges have added up to thousands of dollars in additional expenses. I've lived in the same complex for years and never experienced utility costs this high until Conservice became involved. Based on my experience, I do not believe this billing system serves residents fairly, and I would strongly encourage property managers and prospective tenants to carefully review how utility charges are calculated before agreeing to use this service. Conservice is terrible. Can never get a straight answer on their mysterious formula for calculating utilities.

CONservice needs to be investigated for consistently inflating utility charges and providing misleading explanations to residents. My water bill has doubled, and Conservice claims that “the community is sharing the cost of community water usage,” despite the fact that there is no external community water usage occurring on the property. They also add municipal waste fees to renters’ bills as if residents are the property owners, which is inappropriate and not part of a standard water bill. These added charges have created a significant and unjustified increase in monthly costs. This pattern of inflated billing and unclear, shifting explanations is unacceptable. I will be reporting this matter to the appropriate agencies and making it known to the media, as renters deserve transparency and accuracy, not manufactured fees and excuses.

Why
If any law firm wants a juicy national class action lawsuit, they should track down anyone living in a rental that pushes utilities through Conservice. My apartment managed its own utilities for the first 18 months I lived there. Then starting January 2025, they pushed everything to Conservice. The next 16 months went fine, but the last 4 months I’ve been charged for gas utilities that do not even exist in my apartment building. My landlord is unresponsive, Conservice is unresponsive, and unfortunately now after seeing all the reviews online, I see this company is slimy. I have no way to dispute the charges because the email form doesn’t work and I can’t get through other ways.
